Where to stay in Louisville

Old Town has a number of atmospheric hotels close to the city’s main attractions, while hotels in the Highlands neighborhood offer proximity to the city’s most unusual bars, restaurants, and stores. Louisville’s collection of bed and breakfasts, generally farther from town, are a great way to experience some warm Kentucky hospitality. To save some money and enjoy the city’s scenic surroundings on a vacation in Louisville, consider one of Louisville’s campgrounds. The Jefferson Memorial Forest is just 24 km (15 mi) south of downtown.

  • We only had about an hour and a half to explore this museum. I was skeptical because if all the bad reviews. However, I found just the parts of the museum we explored to be quite fun. The only reason ...  more »

  • Was neat , not a very big place but at $11 dollars I would say its worth it alot of neat hands on stuff. I say best for ages 6-11 just because the exhibits kinda gear toward that age in my opinion. Ho...  more »

  • Great place for kids of all ages. It was fun to walk through and the movie feature was awesome to me. Definitely a great place to visit just to walk around and see today's young scientists play. Also there is a science experiment that is done a couple times a day. The experiment I saw had to do with nitrogen. Loved it.
  • I am bringing my son here for most of his life since he was four. It's one of the best family orientated places that you can bring your child here within the city of Louisville. They always have new content and something fun for the kids to do. Well worth the time and money. Check it out. :-)
  • I'll give this place a five star. We went here months ago on a Saturday night after 5pm when tickets are five bucks a pop. Kids loved it place was well maintained. Something's were broken but thinking it was more because it was the end of the day. I definitely think it's a stop that must be made.
  • Took our 3 year old here after 4 on Saturday so we paid only $15 for 2 adults and a child. My daughter had a lot of fun. This place is great for younger children although I'm sure any age would enjoy themselves here.
  • Had gone to the Science Center several times over the years. I liked taking the family there and watching the faces of the kids when playing with the "hands on" items that they have there. Also liked seeing the large 3D digital theater. The prices are not bad for what you get to enjoy.
