  • Good place to kill a couple of hours with younger kids. Large place, but it seems a little dated and my kids lost interest quickly.
  • My son loves it here! Always something to intrigue his curious mind and kids to share his interests with. We are members and have yet to make it up to the third floor! It's so much fun. I play some wi...  read more »
  • We enjoyed an afternoon of traditional festivities on the fourth floor here. A catered event, decorated for the impending Indian wedding, including the " Mendhi" for all the girls... A great place for...  read more »
  • I visited the Kentucky Science Center in January 2015 with my family. This science museum got it’s start as the “cabinet of curiosities” in Kentucky’s Public Library System in 1871. Today it’s one of the region’s leading centers for informal science education! Within the three levels of interactive exhibits we explored human health and the body, natural science, chemistry, physics and weather. We had fun watching my cousins kids play with the interactive children’s components. I saw one of the coolest things before I even stepped into the Kentucky Science Center – a giant parabolic reflector. You can see a mini version of this in your car’s headlights (it’s nowhere near as cool though).
  • Another gem from my childhood. Only now they offer Adult series events. My fiance and I attended the Megabite event which was amazing. Local food vendors put up stands around the Science center and provide good sized samples of their best selling foods. The science center staff put on a show as they cooked foods with science. Liquid Nitrogen ice cream anyone? This was an annual event that only happens once per year (unfortunately) but I can't wait for the next year. The exhibits themselves are fun and amusing but extremely outdated. Much of the technology and amazement that lured me back in the 90's are still around today which is severely outdated. Many of the interactive science exhibits are now products that many people already own better versions of (think video game camera that detects your movement) in their own homes. Come on guys, need you all to invest in some serious upgrades.
  • It was very clean and we came during the discounted hours just trying to kill some time, so it didn't cost too much. However it was a huge disappointment. No where that we saw did it say it was just for kids. They really should rename it to "Kids Science Center of Kentucky." We were really just bored pretty much the whole time cause there where so many kids and no adult exhibits.
  • Good place for the kids to have some fun at. Not much entertainment for adults other than participating in some of the activities with the kiddos. Hand sanitize stations are scattered throughout the center which is great because germs.
  • Great place to take kids and it's even a great time for the adults. Can easily spend an entire afternoon there.
