  • Loved my time here...Stayed in Louisville for a few days on a short working vacation. Had so much fun the first day I had to return a second time before I left. The history and atmosphere are something everyone should experience even if you are not into horse racing. I definitely hope to be able to return someday and would be even better to catch a big race...who know maybe the Kentucky derby one day! Its on my bucket list
  • We are not big fans of the Kentucky derby but our whole family enjoyed the tour and learning about the racing and the history. It was also fun to see where the horses are trained and see what goes into the whole thing! Highly recommend this to anybody even though we would probably not do it again. It was great for a one time visit!
  • Churchill Downs is an elegant, historic place that is always a fun time with friends! Food and drinks can be pricey, so check it out on a dollar beer night. The biggest complaint is that there is no recycling onsite, and the vendors won't even let you use the same cup for your beers. This is way behind the times, and the management needs to get with the program when it comes to sustainability.
  • I have only had the chance to get here one time but it was a great race a group of us attended.
  • Place for Kentucky derby! I went in 1973 and witnesses the great Secretariat run the 1 1/4 mile in record time of 1.59 .25 and that record stands even today! The Oaks and Derby days are the best, and the pomp and show and mint julep drink and my ole Kentucky song all are traditions of Derby day and even today the same the glamour exist. Enjoy the king of sports at Churchill down!
