Create an itinerary including Firestone Vineyard
Founded in 1972 by father and son, Leonard and Brooks Firestone, Firestone Vineyard has enjoyed 35 years of family stewardship. Recently, so that they could concentrate on their burgeoning beer business and smaller Curtis Winery, the Firestone family decided to sell their iconic winery.

In doing so, they turned to fellow Santa Barbara Vintner Bill Foley as the logical next shepherd for the famous property. As the Firestone’s identified earlier on, Bill too, recognized Santa Barbara County as the ideal location for the production of world class wines. Bill has vowed to continue the Firestone tradition in striving for the very best in vineyard management and cutting edge winemaking discipline.

The vineyard focuses on optimal physiological balance in the vines yielding wines that are brightly flavored, crisp and delicious. Estate Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah vineyards are located on a series of mesas that have gravelly sub-soils, ideally oriented for perfect exposure. The Firestone Vineyard tasting room offers regular winery tours, delicious wines to sample and an idyllic setting for al fresco picnics.

Must be 21 and over to follow.

  • e did the Sideways self-wine tour this past weekend. The service was good, yet they really tried to push the wine club. Too much. The tasting fee is fair for what you get. I appreciate that...

  • We went to three different wine tasting locations and by far this one was different. It was a 109 degrees outside so indoors was our only option. I did not expect to be seated in the back area with the barrels. It was amazing experience. They had a live dj playing vinyl music and they were raffling off some merchandise. We brought our own cheese and crackers. They provide you with chilled water and the service was great. We will definitely come back here. Thank you Firestone Vineyard ❤️
  • We stopped in right before closing on our way to Monterey Car week. Taylor was great and had our tasting experience waiting in us. This is one of our favorite vineyards within our FFWS membership!
  • Had booked a reservation weeks in advance. Had time for only one winery on our vacation and chose Firestone. That was a mistake. Was a beautiful but warm day and were looking forward to a tasting in their courtyard. When we arrived, we were told we could only do the tasting inside as their production team scheduled a meeting for the courtyard. We saw 3 or 4 employees listening to a PowerPoint presentation. They also offered to have us take our flight of wines at the picnic table but they all would have been poured all at once. Not a great option either for cold white wines on a warm day. I will never understand why a business would put employees before customers. Not sure why they could not have just done their meeting virtually. Obviously Firestone thought nothing of us. I made a call to Fess Parker which gladly took us and the ambiance of their tasting area was far superior to that of Firestone. It was a huge upgrade. Would not recommend Firestone.
  • We hadn't been to Firestone for about 20 years. Now as part of Foley Family Wines we re-visited and were pleasantly surprised. One of the first, if not the first wineries & vineyards in this area. The wines show this with their maturity, depth & balance without being over bearing.
  • Firestone Vineyard is a wonderful vineyard to experience. My wife and I stopped in and both did a tasting, then bought a bottle to-go. We were served by a gentleman named Tim. He was super friendly and joy to meet. The other person we met, Christy, was also super nice and friendly. All in all, we had a great time and would love to go back. This place is a must to try out!
