Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

4.4
For an ultimate Hollywood experience, visit Universal Studios Hollywood, a film studio, theme park, and a self-contained city all its own. One of the oldest Hollywood studios still in use, this show business complex considers itself "the entertainment capital of Los Angeles." Originally created to offer tours of real film studios, sets, and sound stages, the complex now offers live shows, thrill rides, and behind-the-scenes presentations about the movie-making process. To see the highlights, take a tram tour of the sound stages and sets designed specifically for some of the studio's biggest blockbusters. You can also choose from indoor and outdoor roller-coaster rides that provide you the chance to face King Kong, a shark attack, dinosaurs, and a powerful earthquake. • This place is awesome for teens and adults! I think most rides would be too scary for kids. The shows are fun! We loved both the special effects show and the animal show. Everyone was super friendly, and they are very accommodating of disabled individuals. The studio tour was a great way to get off our feet and enjoy an hour long ride. Relatively short lines when we were there during the week. This is the new happiest place on Earth.
  • Got the Annual Pass!! We had a great visit!! I just got back surgery so I was a bit hesitant to go on some of the rides but they were all fine for me. I love the rides that don't move a lot but they have screens that make it look like you are moving a lot more. Most of the rides there are like that. Harry Potter World was my favorite. The Butter Beer was really good too. To me it tasted kind of like Cream Soda. They have frozen, hot, and regular. My favorites were the frozen and hot! You should get at least one wand for the family that has the chip in it and then the rest of the wand can be the regular ones. The kids will have fun walking around doing the spells. Three Broomsticks is the best restaurant there and not too bad on the wallet especially with the Gold Annual Pass that gives you 15% off.
  • Its an amazing experience if you go with your family there are kid playgrounds for the little ones and rides for them too. There are also child switches that I think are a good idea. There are also good rides for teens and adults. There are three rollercoasters but one of them is indoors and two of them are outdoor. Most of the rides are 3D but its amazing. Most of the rides have single rider that for me, personally, is easier to ride but yes you can ride with other people you want. Their food can be expensive depending in which area of the park you buy it from. You can bring your own backpack and camera if you'd like they won't tell you to put it away. Finally the experience of the whole park is simply fascinating I hope you enjoy:)
  • Customer service always really great, into character at all times especially in Harry Potter World. Love the misters through the park that help relieve you from the heat! Those are brilliant! Great food everywhere we stopped. Just wish they carried larger t-shirts in the shops my husband and I are taller than average and a little bigger. 3X would be great. See you next month universal!
  • Absolutely LOVE Universal Studios!! They had the Best shows and thrill rides. Plus we were able to take some behind the scene tours of movie sets!! So Amazing!! I felt like a big kid running around the entire day! Prices are reasonable.Tons of Walking! Lots to see! We had an Amazing time and we got there from the moment it opened to the time it closed. Uber pick ups are simple and easy to head back into LA. I've been to both Universals in Florida and Hollywood and my family really enjoyed California a lot better!
