For an ultimate Hollywood experience, visit Universal Studios Hollywood, a film studio, theme park, and a self-contained city all its own. One of the oldest Hollywood studios still in use, this show business complex considers itself "the entertainment capital of Los Angeles." Originally created to offer tours of real film studios, sets, and sound stages, the complex now offers live shows, thrill rides, and behind-the-scenes presentations about the movie-making process. To see the highlights, take a tram tour of the sound stages and sets designed specifically for some of the studio's biggest blockbusters. You can also choose from indoor and outdoor roller-coaster rides that provide you the chance to face King Kong, a shark attack, dinosaurs, and a powerful earthquake. • We had an amazing day, started at the Lower Lot ..immensely enjoyed the Transformers, Mummy and Jurrasic Park followed by the Upper Lot. Enjoyed the Studio tour as well
  • Having traveled to LA a couple of times know, we though we would do a day at Universal for the Kids... While it is good to see and well appointed, we didn't find it as good as we had expected. Our chi...  read more »
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was amazing! The rest of the park was just OK. We rode some Simpsons roller coaster that was awful and the line was way too long.
  • Went on an unplanned addition to our vacation. So glad we did. This place is super cool and can be covered in a day. Lines moved really fast and the staff were all in character all day. Great shows. Must see is the studio tour and the Water World show. Our favorite ride was Transformers, but the Harry Potter one was cool too. Really great experience. I paid for up front parking, but I'd pay to park in the ET lot and walk through the mall next time. It makes sense if dining at the mall post spending the day at the park anyway.
  • Fun. Fun fun I bought front of the line tickets for family and we all loved how we were treated special. The extra $100 per person was Definitely worth it. Go at 7am. 1hr before the gates open. Do the Harry Potter ride 1st without using the fol pass. Then do the bus tour. And do the rest in any order using the FOL pass. I liked most rides and shows. Jurassic park ride which gets you wet was one of the least exciting ride of all.
  • I liked this place because the rides make you feel in another time being. And all the shows, games, also the food is great. Its just the prices that's the trouble. I bought a despicable me unicorn chain and it was $ 12:00. At least lower the prices a bit down. Other than that this place I will never forget.
  • it is very good place to enjoy the day, has many rides. i like Harry potter, transformers and simpson's rides, they are great. Mummy ride is very old, so better to thrill new rides. my suggestion is, go for harry potter in the morning, and take studio tour after 7pm. i love this place.
  • An unplanned vacation was the best thing I ever did for my family! My boys are 12 & 14 so they were able to fully appreciate everything this place had to offer. They were also able to endure the endless walking and lines! We got a 2 day pass and were dreading going back the second day! Our legs were so sore that we couldn't stay the full second day. Definitely don't use your 2 day pass 2 days in a row.
