The Original Farmers Market, Los Angeles

Categories: Gift & Specialty Shops, Shopping
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web
Over 100 vendors sell a wide variety of cuisines from around the world at The Original Farmers Market. What's now an outdoor market started as a place for a few local farmers to sell their produce from their trucks during the Depression. The farmers' market quickly transformed into the massive permanent outdoor market that still stands in the same place. While there are no longer any actual farmers selling produce, the market has retained the original feel by prohibiting big chains, and keeping vendors local. • Excellent French cheese board and selection of other cheeses. Huevos a la mexicana were decent. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Full bar and draft beers.
  • Great coffee actually, but save yourself from there really expensive breakfast sandwich. Just awful. Crepes across the way, or burritos look much better.
  • A flashback to the past. Love the bazaar feel.
  • Great history great food and atmosphere
  • Kinda pricey but this is LA. Decent food.
