Built around the old LA Farmers' Market, The Grove has become one of Los Angeles' most popular outdoor malls. Built in 2002, the open-space mall carries a wide range of products and eateries popular with locals and tourists alike. Check out the Farmers' Market, which originally opened in 1934 and still contains over 100 eateries and grocery stores. If you're looking for a healthy treat, you will find plenty of organic and gluten-free food. The mall also contains a large multiplex cinema as well as many flagship stores. Make sure to take a ride on the old-fashioned tram that carries passengers between the market and the main mall complex. All decked out for Christmas, we spent about as much time here as at the Farmers Market next door. Expensive stores and boutiques but it had a very festive feel so we felt very pre-Christmas. My siste... more »

Just enter you see the luxury of some shops, design and infrastructure of the Mall; It seems a park Disney. It is beautiful and looks many families with small children; next to this the farmers market fairly interesting and offering economic and traditional food. The parking costs depending on the time you stay there and must be paid only by credit card.View original -
It is a more uptown place , with Christmas feel and decoration . Like the bookshop Barnes & nobles and See’s Candies. Things are costly there. more »

Special "shopping street" without traffic. It only has a rail end that offers a very nice atmosphere and right next to the Farmers Market where you can eat great. You can visit the shopping centre by car as there is a parking garage. It also invites you to linger. So take enough time with. There could be more Shopping Stores so I give 4 Stars.

An interesting place to visit with the Farmer's Market where you have a huge variety of food choice averaging about $14 - 18. The shops however are only top end which is what you would expect near Hollywood. The free tram is a very short but fun ride from one side to the other. Nice music, a nice atmosphere and safe with bollards and resident police. Outside The Grove Hotel is a good place to pick up or drop off for an Uber. Not as cool as an air conditioned mall but definitely a better experience.

Like Barnes and Nobles there, I have been coming to the Grove since my middle school days. I greatly enjoy sightseeing the farmers market there for it serves different kinds of cuisines ranging from French to Brazilian. The boardway has stores of all kinds on both its north and south blocks separated by a active trolley, though I don't know if someone has to pay to use it or not. The giant clock tower at the end of its east side and the smaller clock tower on its west side are landmarks in an of itself. At the center of the place, there is a fountain that's big in its circumference that sprinklers shoot out to make a show for those nearby. Their most recent addition has been that they've turned the entrance into the first floor parking lot into a foyer with a shop before the concierge desk, to the left is a display for a car that looks hot off the assembly line and to the right, one will find a stand where someone will shine your shoes (for a price), and two restrooms, one for men and the other for women topped off with their own waiting room and between the 2 restrooms is an area for parents to relax with the kids.

Very beautiful outdoor shopping! Seriously don’t think I’ve ever been to a more beautiful shopping center and the Farmer’s Market is so vast! There’s tons of stuff to buy/try there. They had music when my girlfriend and I were there as well which was really nice. Lots of good stores to go shopping and some nice restaurants as well. Even a couple movie theaters. What I will say is because of all this it can be really busy and crowded. Otherwise great place!
