  • The lighthouse at PT. Fermin has a very interesting history, and the free tour of the building and climb to the top are fascinating. The view from the top gives you the whole harbor and on a clear day Catalina island beckons. The tour guides give many details about the lighthouse light, and the lives of the lighthouse keepers. The land was purchased by the u.s. govt. At a cost of $25 and the owners sent the check back to Washington d.c. where it remains on file. The lighthouse is one of the "gems" of San Pedro. And the park offers free Shakespeare plays in the evenings at the outdoor theatre, so come explore this wonderful park. My wife and I always bring our guests to visit this place!
  • The scenery, landscape, and ocean outlook is beautiful. On a clear day you can see Catalina Island. Visit the Korean Bell and your kids can run themselves to sleep 😃 There is plenty of shaded areas and endless Pacific ocean fresh breezes. If you don't have to visit on the weekend, you'll very much enjoy yourselves. Only negatives is on the weekends it's crowded, and parking is a little dense. The public bathrooms are not so spic and span.
  • This is a very nice Los Angeles City park. There's plenty of parking. What makes the park so nice is that it's on the ocean. If you look towards the east you will see America's larger ocean container port. It's an amazing sight. If you look towards the west you see California's beautiful suburban coastline and Catalina Island. The park itself is large and and has many picnic tables, some on the edge of the park which is on a cliff over the ocean. It's a very nice place to hang out for a couple of hours. There's a "biker bar restaurant" across the parking lot on the very east side of the park. It is a very colorful place that would make an interesting backdrop for a movie. But unfortunately the food is not that good. There's a nice "local" restaurant close by called the "Lighthouse Deli" that is very popular with the local residents. It's at 508 W 39th Street. Easy walk from the park.
  • Point Fermin Park very nice place to take walks, you have ocean views all the way around the walking path. You have one of the oldest lighthouses in existence in the park. Yeah Walker's hamburger and beer place right there on the corner been there forever. Right next to it is sunken city part of the San Pedro landscape for many years that has slowly slipped into the ocean.
  • Very nice park. Ocean view, big trees, a lot of shade and space. Has benches, restrooms, and a light house. It could be a little cleaner (reason for a 4 star instead of a 5) but it's not bad.
