  • I'd heard about this place before visiting Los Angeles and had to go and visit. Located just off Hollywood Boulevard, this place has ample parking behind the premises. The member of staff on reception...  more »
  • The Museum is quite small but quite interesting. You should take but still some time, because there's a lot to read. If one omits the or can read English it is fast and not really worth a visit. The dramatic part pictures and exhibits are nothing for weak nerves and stomachs. It was a woman with a small child on his arm there that looked quite shocked actually. So please little children not with it take.

  • Great experience at the Museum of death. Everything is very well presented, many documents are authentic. The visit to the Museum is done without dead time, in squalid rooms.

  • Very extensive collection. We remembered a lot of it from when we visited the museum in San Diego 20 years ago. We took a picture in front of the old sign so we could compare it to the one we took as kids. The space they have now is really great and the exhibits are worth the price of admission. The staff was really nice and gave us lots of information about the museum and the local area as well. We mentioned we were going to the Palladium and they gave us a really great tip about not what to take with us which they were totally right about, so thanks for that guys! Keep up the great work!
  • This is a really quirky museum filled with lots of stuff surrounding death. It's not for the faint hearted or for those with a weak stomach as there are graphic aspects to the museum. The staff are so friendly and we chatted for ages about the museum, music, bars and Los Angeles. The price to get in is reasonable and the merchandiseis really awesome!
  • Very interesting place! I was a little underwhelmed with the videos that they show throughout the day. However, There's a ton of info spread out over the museum. Although this museum is smaller than I expected, it is still very nice. While it is an interesting museum, it's definitely a one time thing.
  • Very interesting museum and provides a great learning experience on um...death. If you are here to admire gory photos, you might be disappointed. There's plenty of gory-ness but the learning experience is much more interesting and entertaining. It was packed with people but they give you all day if you want so don't be rushed.
  • I have been here a couple times and it is always extremely interesting. They have so much information inside that you can literally stay here for hours. I don't want to give too much away in terms of what is inside. Just go visit!

Where to stay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be synonymous with luxury, but its accommodations include not only some of the most opulent and expensive hotels in the world, but also budget-priced hostels and inexpensive inns. In Los Angeles, a car opens up a world of lodging options, allowing you to stay outside the city proper and still have easy access to most major tourist attractions. If you don't mind splurging, consider Hollywood or Beverly Hills. To save money, stay near the airport or in the eastern suburbs of the city.
