At 54 hectare (133 acre), Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens houses more than 1,100 animals representing over 250 species and 7,400 plants categorized in 15 collections. In different exhibits that replicate the animals' natural habitat, you'll encounter mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, including 29 endangered species. Roam around a tropical rainforest featuring rivers, sculptures, and educational graphics, and see elephants play, rest, or roll around in sandy hills and bathing pools.
