  • Nice little museum to take the family to or school field trip. Needs to get more stuff in the big room. Even some videos of some of the ships on monitors around the area would be great to. Just like in the hard hat area/underwater display some hands on area would be good to show some of the things off or even try on. If they could even get a boat so people can go on or a mock up of one would be great to. Even a mock up control room, or the mock up shipping container loader would be fun. But been going there off and on and I have the family membership there. So we will be back again and again.
  • This museum has a lot of knot art which is very interesting. Also had multiple small boats that all had fascinating histories. I was there with the San Salvador which was being hosted by the L.A. Museum and we took groups out on day sails and charters.
  • Super awesome place Always have a good time there Get a lot of museum for the price Staff is super cool Parking is a bit of a pain Super good place to take the kids
  • Lots of history here. Good views of the port terminals.

Where to stay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be synonymous with luxury, but its accommodations include not only some of the most opulent and expensive hotels in the world, but also budget-priced hostels and inexpensive inns. In Los Angeles, a car opens up a world of lodging options, allowing you to stay outside the city proper and still have easy access to most major tourist attractions. If you don't mind splurging, consider Hollywood or Beverly Hills. To save money, stay near the airport or in the eastern suburbs of the city.
