The drive up to the Bell is incredibly beautiful. Once you reach it the atmosphere is so chill and calming. Kite Flying, Grass Grazing, blanket lounging and maybe even Yoga Buffs surround the very wel...  more »

We stayed at the Hostel located directly across from this park (we could actually see the bell from our window) and we loved it. It has a unique history and wonderful painted details. Not to mention t...  more »

Gorgeous place to watch the sunset. Remember to bring a jacket because even though it appears to be sunny, it can get very windy at the top! They also have a small parking lot, so parking is no issue. The bell itself is very beautiful and colorful, ornately designed. Definitely worth a drive.

Terrific place just like everyone else says, this is a great place for up hill walks, dog walks, family outings ...you name it! However due to the ocean bearing to close ...sometimes it gets really windy and you'll lose your hat very fast. To hold on! Rather then fight the wind dress according. This park is always kept extremely clean so do your part when visiting.

Great place for a nice view of Catalina and the harbor. Very unique and interesting Bell. While I was there they had an old army tank off to the side rolling around and shooting blank shots. It was a very cool spot to be!

Great spot for a sunny day. Large grass park on a hill that sits at the tip of San Pedro Peninsula. Good place for kite flying, but stay away from power lines, unlike other people...

Great place to come and see the bell and it's not even crowded early during the week. I brought my dogs and we enjoyed walking the grounds. The bell itself is cool but the structure that holds it is vibrant with color. A cool thing to see in the L.A. area with the ocean oh so close for a picnic after.

Where to stay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be synonymous with luxury, but its accommodations include not only some of the most opulent and expensive hotels in the world, but also budget-priced hostels and inexpensive inns. In Los Angeles, a car opens up a world of lodging options, allowing you to stay outside the city proper and still have easy access to most major tourist attractions. If you don't mind splurging, consider Hollywood or Beverly Hills. To save money, stay near the airport or in the eastern suburbs of the city.
