Where to stay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be synonymous with luxury, but its accommodations include not only some of the most opulent and expensive hotels in the world, but also budget-priced hostels and inexpensive inns. In Los Angeles, a car opens up a world of lodging options, allowing you to stay outside the city proper and still have easy access to most major tourist attractions. If you don't mind splurging, consider Hollywood or Beverly Hills. To save money, stay near the airport or in the eastern suburbs of the city.

  • This is a great LA urban park. It's $6 to park on the weekends but I think you can park offsite and walk in if you want to avoid it. We just paid for it. You get a great view of downtown LA, Hollywood...  more »
  • This hidden jewel is right in our neighborhood and has excellent hiking trails with views of Los Angeles. There is exercise equipment is certain areas and also play areas for kids. There is also a fis...  more »
  • Thanks to Kenny Hahn for turning an abandoned dam basin & played out oil fields into a great recreational area smack dab near the Westside, between Culver City & Baldwin Hills. Amazing job done in add...  more »

  • Large and spacious park very well maintained. This park in particular is not very shaded, so bring your sun screen or some type of covering. TAKE THIS STATE with a grain salt: I only been once but it took over hour to enter the park with all the traffic leading up the entrance... Plenty of trail and scenic thing to tho
  • I appreciate the distance marker. Very easy to read. One lap is a half mile. The machines are well maintained. All the best.🐼
  • So much to do and explore here. I'm still finding new paths and I've been coming to this park since I was a kid. My suggestion: plan to stay the whole day. Monday - Friday free parking There is a charge of around $6 for SUVs and cars on the weekends and major holidays
  • This a nice large park just with decent trails. I love nearby, so I've never dealt with parking within the park. I usually come here on my long runs, and the trails are great for that. At some view points you can even see the ocean. It's usually decently busy on the weekends, but there's plenty of space to spread out a blanket for a picnic. Not loving the views of the oil rigs, though.
  • Kenneth Hahn is a fantastic park with a lower level that has a pond, basketball court, and plenty of open space. If you drive up to the end of the road, there's a higher level that has a smaller playground and a few isolated tables. This area is great for scenery. Only caveat is that the parking fills up pretty quick on weekends, so get there early. Parking is $6 for the day (weekends only), free on weekdays.
