  • We visited on Christmas Eve and it was busy but still not busy enough to spoil the fun. While a few people had parked and were walking around, we decided to stay in the car as there were no real sidew...  more »
  • It was very busy, a lot of cars were lining up along the streets. I decided with my friend we would walk past the houses, so we could take time to make pictures and enjoy the cold air. It was fun, the...  more »
  • Fun for kids! It's something to do once! The decorations are great even if it's not the best I've seen. Expect you to be in caps because it is very well known.

  • Been going since I was a child. This last Christmas hardly any house's were lit? Huge Heartbreaking let down!
  • Great place to bring the family for a drive. We came a couple of days after Christmas so there was no wait to get to Candy Cane Lane. It was a slow drive through as there were a lot of cars but that way we could enjoy the lights. The houses in this area are decorated really beautifully, worth the drive.
  • Cool place to bring the little ones, especially if you've never been. Not as many participate as they used to.. Now it's like every other to every 3 houses that have lights- and on some streets less:( Lots of street vendors and $3 cocoa. Kinda sad to see the sharp decline in lights.. Hopefully it'll pick back up and be the cool festive holiday place that it used to be!
  • Not worth the hour + wait in bumper to bumper traffic. No police directing 3 roads all merging into one. NJ is much better. Kids should not be sitting on the roofs of their car or sticking out of their sunroof either. Very dangerous!!! HERE'S A TIP. PARK ON ANOTHER ROAD AND WALK THROUGH IT. It's about three streets...doable.
  • Nothing spectacular here aside for the traffic. The traffic is insane and the lights are just ok at best just ok.. I've see way better lights in other neighborhoods. Pasadena or Venice have way better lights. Just one of every 6 houses are lit up and some are just using $10 laser lights. Overall very disappointed.

Where to stay in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may be synonymous with luxury, but its accommodations include not only some of the most opulent and expensive hotels in the world, but also budget-priced hostels and inexpensive inns. In Los Angeles, a car opens up a world of lodging options, allowing you to stay outside the city proper and still have easy access to most major tourist attractions. If you don't mind splurging, consider Hollywood or Beverly Hills. To save money, stay near the airport or in the eastern suburbs of the city.
