  • We went to the Visitor Center since the NPS site was closed. They had the Los Alamos Passport Stamp there and a friendly Volunteer who sent us to the city’s museum.

  • We ended up here because we needed directions out of town because the highway was closed and no detour sites were in sight. The friendly, helpful man working that morning went so far as to pull out...

  • A definite place to stop to pick up a map of the Historic Walking Tour.
  • Depressing. Even Robert Oppenheimer was depressed here ( but he did have a cool house). No matter how you justify their horrible work (eg. "if we didn't invent the bomb, the Germans would have first." Thing is we slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Japanese just as Japan was preparing a surrender. Save your Yen and go visit the Hiroshima memorials in Japan. You'll be a better person for it.
  • Very helpful visit. Highly recommend a stop to get maps and suggestions. The attendant put us on to the Los Alamos History Museum daily docent tour which we thoroughly enjoyed.
  • Pleasant and helpful staff gave us all the information we needed to enjoy a 2-hour visit to the Los Alamos historic area. Good materials, clean and well-lit space, and a friendly atmosphere all made for a memorable visit.
  • The volunteers here are very friendly and knowledgeable.
