  • A park in Long Island City on the edge of the East River, with green area and space for activities such as running and walking. The view is very complete: you can see the Empire State building, Chrysler Building. Roosevelt Island, Queensboro Bridge and even the One World Trade Center, by far. This Park is the continuation of Gantry Plaza State Park. I took a lot of pictures because there is simply beautiful. There's nothing to eat or drink, at least I have not seen ... just saw the natural beauty of this park. I recommend too.

  • Watching the sunset fall on Manhattan, and the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building lightning up as night falls down is one experience I won't forget anytime soon.  more »
  • It is recommended and depending on the time zone, but views of Manhattan at just the right point, so go again. Long Island would point to explore so much that not many views, the best among them.

  • I really enjoy coming to Hunters Point Park. You can tell it is a newer park and so happy it's here in Long Island City. I played volleyball here on the sand courts. Great park for people of all ages and very family friendly. They have a playground, basketball courts, a nice turf grass area that lots of people can enjoy and a beautiful view of Manhattan over the river. Very well maintained shrubbery/plants, clean, and many lounge chairs to sit on. Great walkways along the waterfront and the park is dog friendly place- they have a little dog run park. Also - it free and open to the public in case I didn't mention that! You can also take the East River ferry right here as well. Really nice food / concession stand that serves decent food, wine, beer and sometimes sangria. I highly recommend it!
  • Lots if choices. They work with wonderful efficiency. I had Aleena at the register, and she had a great deal of common sense on making the lines work quickly and efficiently. You can obviously tell she's a hard worker. She's probably a manager. If not, she should be.
  • Beautiful and clean. Lots of great events during the summer. Just keep this a best-kept secret :)
  • It's a nice and tranquil place. Plus it's a great way to get into Manhattan now that the railroad and subway will be out for the summer.
  • One of the best place to catch fireworks on July 4th! It's nice to stroll around and get a great view of the city during the rest of the year too.
