  • I really enjoy coming to Hunters Point Park. You can tell it is a newer park and so happy it's here in Long Island City. I played volleyball here on the sand courts. Great park for people of all ages and very family friendly. They have a playground, basketball courts, a nice turf grass area that lots of people can enjoy and a beautiful view of Manhattan over the river. Very well maintained shrubbery/plants, clean, and many lounge chairs to sit on. Great walkways along the waterfront and the park is dog friendly place- they have a little dog run park. Also - it free and open to the public in case I didn't mention that! You can also take the East River ferry right here as well. Really nice food / concession stand that serves decent food, wine, beer and sometimes sangria. I highly recommend it!
  • Great park boardwalk area in long Island city they have changed the park around so much from what it used to be. They have the ferry going into Manhattan and Brooklyn, 2 playground for kids, sprinkler, 2 grass field areas for sports, a huge boardwalk you can walk and see the old school Coca-Cola sign thats iconic. Awsome place to spend a hot day with an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline along with the 59th street Bridge. If you have a spare weekend go check it out
  • A fantastic waterfront park...but could use some improvements. For starters, there should be restrooms at both ends of the park. The food there is also overpriced with them having almost a monopoly in the area.
  • One of the best views of Manhattan can be found here. Right across from the UN building. Right after it rains, the East River smells terrible. If you are planning to be at Hunters Point South Park after it rains, prepare yourself.
  • Beautiful water view and excellent views of the Manhattan skyline! Great place to enjoy the views and take a stroll especially in the evening.
