#181 of 437 in Outdoors in South Carolina
Chattooga Belle Farm is a 138 acre working farm and event barn located in the shadows of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains in the western corner of South Carolina.

After years of neglect, the orchards were overtaken and the legacy lay hidden until someone saw what once was and what could be. Thousands of new trees plus vineyards and berry patches were planted and now they welcome the public to enjoy this special place.

There is something for everyone on the farm. Family friendly activities include various U-pick fruit trees including apples, peaches and plums plus raspberry and blueberry patches. The charming farm store offers just picked produce, regional food specialties, grass fed farm beef and unique merchandise. The first Sunday of every October, the farm hosts a farm-to-table dinner in the vineyard featuring all local foods prepared by award winning local chefs.

While visiting the farm, guests can experience the extraordinary flavors of wines made with grapes and other fruits grown in the vineyard and orchards, offering over eight different varieties including the regional Southern specialty- muscadine and scuppernong wine.

After working up an appetite from walking the grounds or just enjoying the peaceful mountain breeze, Belle’s Bistro is the perfect place to unwind with lunch featuring many delicious items straight from the farm. Belles Bistro is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11-2. After lunch visitors can enjoy a game on the 18-hole disc golf course or just relax in a rocking chair and take in the sweeping mountain views.

The event barn is the ideal location for weddings, family reunions, and corporate retreats or any special occasion that calls for a setting like no other. The barn offers spectacular views of three states with 7,000 flexible square feet of space including a heated inside great room, covered patio area and lawn space for tents.

Conveniently located to large metro areas including Atlanta, Greenville and Asheville, visiting the farm is an easy day trip. Chattooga Belle Farm- unlike any place on earth.

  • Went here for a friends wedding and was blown away. It is gorgeous and a wonderful location to get married. Not sure if the catering was from the venue itself but it was really good as well!
  • My go to lunch stop; nothing else compares. I always get the Turkey Apple on the Ciabatta Bread and I swear it let's better each time. Even if you don't come for the food, come for the view it's breathtaking. Sad to see the bistro close next week for the cold season; not sure where I'll get my fix!
  • Wow!!! We just left the Distillery (more on that later) at Chattooga Belle Farms in Long Creek South Carolina. We have had such an amazing day here this review might seem too long, but do continue. We had asked another couple to meet us there for lunch at the Bistro. Great food, nice selection of beer and local wines and wonderful service, even though they were setting up for a wedding that evening. We all had a soup and sandwich combo. ($8.95) We had heard that Ed was having a 'Grand Opening' of their new hardware store just down the street so off we went. Ed was there welcoming patrons with food and drink and a look at the apple packing plant. (I found the sorting machine interesting and Ed assured me I could take a place along the line in July when Apple season returns) Then it was off to the distillery where we met the guy responsible for all the great whiskey and brandy produced here at Chattooga Belle. His name is Cooper and he has to be the most energetic, motivated and driven young man we have met in many years. He is so proud of the product produced that he took us on an educational tour of how the stills work. He knows his craft, that is for sure. We highly recommend Chattooga Belle Farms for your next visit!
  • Great place, Cooper and Sam are awesome..great explanations of different whiskey, wine, beer etc.
  • Our adventure on 10/21/2017... 5 hrs to get to Chatooga Belle Farm, antique shopping along the way. Beautiful mountain views. Arrived at CBF with eyes all aglow! What a wonderful place to go with children or just to get away with that special someone. Lunch was excellent, prices were as expected, however the food was so much better! The lay of the land is just breathtaking. And we had an awesome experience at the Whiskey Tasting at the CBF Distillery. Brought home 2 bottles of whiskey and approx. 30 lbs of apples! We originally wanted to pick our own apples, but made the trip too late in the season. Note to management: Perhaps a calendar timeline for prime fruit picking on your website could be an option. Thank you to all of the staff at CBF. We had a spectacular afternoon!
