  • Tucked away in a gated community, Ranch Los Alamitas is a wonderful glimpse into the very early history of settlement in vast California and how the people who lived there made the land more beautiful...  more »
  • They do a great job on Holiday events. We were there for the Holiday Hodown 2016 (and 2015). Lots of people and a lot of activities for the kids. Definitely worth the time.  more »

  • The parking and entrance are free. There is a film about the ranch, then you can visit the ranch which had goats, sheep, ducks, rabbits etc. They said sometimes they also have horses as well. There are also beautiful gardens with unique plants, and a free guided tour of the beautiful Bixby house/former adobe which took a little over an hour. Very interesting and the woman at the reception was very nice and welcoming. A great free attraction if you are in the area.
  • Must see Super great place in long beach Take the tour Staff is super awesome ! Great parking Get there early The best
  • Great staff, very friendly! Superb to get to know the history of the place. No spoilers, you should check it out. Great place for kids, also free!
  • Beautiful places to stroll and enjoy. Great manicured garden and mature succulent garden. I love the blue pots/vases around many settings. Benchs here and there. I go to paint in plein air, always a peaceful time. They also have farm animals and an old tractor. They give tours but I go to sit in peace. No cost but open to the public only certain hours most days.
  • Nice gardens, though difficult to access. We were there for a festival and it was a lovely venue
