Visited in September for a convention after a few years at other venues. Convenience is the name of the game here. Close to hotels, great dining establishments, and some sightseeing opportunities.  more »

Our kids attend Dancerpalooza here every year and it is a great venue. Staff are friendly and helpful, the A/C is cold and the coffee is tasty! A few more food options would be great at the lunch hour crunch but really there is a lot around the area.

We had the Salvation Army Commissioning Ordination 2017. It was well organized, they moved people efficiently concidering the large crowd we had. My only complaint was our last day lunch serving. Even though the dining hall was huge there were NOT enough tables for all the people. The people at the end of the line, which were many, had to wait and sit in dirty tables when they were available. I asked for clean silverware and four Associates told me to look for them in the table, I replied that they are all dirty. I needed to look around for clean ones. The dining hall was so packed that it was difficult to more around, again this was a huge event. Fustrated with the lack of service I left to look for a restaurant near by. The Salvation Army is a worldwide organization. The Convention center knew how many people were showing up. They need better customer service training for these huge events. One other note... When I was serving myself at the buffet, a couple of items were empty and I had to past by. When I was at the end of the buffet line they came with the food. I asked, now I have to be rude and cut in front of people if I want those items? Basically yes... So there was about 10 of us that had to cut in, very UNIMPRESSED. They could of at least have a small tray for the people that wanted those item that were missed. The Salvation Army paid a lot of money to host this event and to receive poor service...NOT GOOD.

Great location for events with plenty of room for booths, panels, and exhibit halls. There were somewhat limited food options provided by the actual convention center but I am sure if you started to get hungry enough you could find something to satisfy you. The parking was super packed but I found one of the last spots without a problem.

Good location and floor plan for medium-sized sized conventions. Connected to the Hyatt Regency. Easy access to harborfront restaurants, shopping, movie theater, and the aquarium.

Truly umderrated. Always clean and nice. A great place to enjoy a chill day by the coast. Stroll the lagoon on the south side. Great walkable neighborhood; awesome restaurants by the wharf or the Pike or Pine St etc. Hilton nearby is a fun home away from home. Love the updated Renaissance Hotel too. Westin has comfiest beds. Free local bus lines. Ideal vacation area

Where to stay in Long Beach

Most of Long Beach's attractions are near the water, so look for accommodations around East Ocean Boulevard. Downtown sits right in this vicinity, so you'll find plenty of rooms in large hotels, many of which have undergone recent and extensive renovations. For quieter environs with convenient access to the beach, look for cottages, houses, and apartments for rent east of downtown. Many of these offer ocean views. Naples Island at the east end of the beach is Long Beach's toniest neighborhood; the prices of accommodations here reflect this.
