  • Great stop on our way up the northern coast. Not much here if you don't gamble, but they do offer some great perks to first time guests. The hotel was very clean and friendly, we will stay here again.  more »

  • Bear River Casino is a beautiful casino. We go there regularly to listen and dance to the bands. The casino is always clean and the employees are very friendly. We have enjoyed several good meals there. Some restaurant and many in the bar. We have also stayed in their rooms they are clean and comfortable. I have always enjoyed myself at Bear River Casino!!
  • Thanksgiving dinner was very average expected more selection. They ran out of food and we had to wait for a while till they replenished. Most of the food seemed as it came from a can. The bar area was not clean, there were plastic plates and napkins all over. The ambience was not great because the lighting in the whole place both dinning area and casino was very bright.
  • Bear River Casino Resort is a nice addition to the area. The location is atop a hill with a breathtaking panoramic view of the river valley. The all non-smoking hotel is nice with spacious rooms and all the usual amenities. The parking for the hotel is limited under the hotel and you can use the casino parking but you may have to park some distance from the hotel entrance. I recommend valet, it's free! The hotel is currently renovating its rooms even though the hotel is less than 7 years old. Other amenities include and on-site restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a small bar next to the restaurant as well. There is a small indoor heated pool which can be crowded on the weekend. Adults I recommend asking the front desk for a day pass to the brand new state of the art recreation center. Located across the street from the hotel. They have a gym, and sauna and its very nice. There is a casino as well that is open 24/7 with slots and table games. There is another bar inside the casino and a cafe that is open from 10am until late (2:30am I think). I prefer to order food from here and take it back to my room. It's reasonably priced and they have a good variety of food on their menu. They also have a pump and play gas station and slots for 18 and over in a non smoking environment. Between the three casinos in the area I like Bear River Casino Resort the best. They have a good selection of slots and the atmosphere is relaxed and much nicer than the other casinos in the area. The hotel staff and casino staff (expecially Ana) are super friendly and helpful. It's not a five star resort, but for Humboldt County, it's definitely 5 stars and I can't wait to stay in one of their renovated rooms. **Update 4.16.17** I stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms. THe rooms are nicely upgraded but there are still some things that need to be worked out with the Hotel and the General Contractor. Water pressure in the shower was pitiful and the temperature didn't go above luke warm. And the connecting doors between rooms has no insulation so I could hear everything (and I mean everything) going on in the room next door. Ended up stuffing one if the bed runners under the door.
  • I went there to watch a stand up comedy show. The place was beautiful and the people who worked there were super nice.
  • One of the best casino's in nor cal for sure be sure to use youre card to ensure the full experience of bear rivers benifits n please, "gamble resposably".
