Our group (3 adults) canoed here recently. We opted for the trip 2 and chose the canoe for 3 adults. To begin, their website said that the canoes have adjustable seat backs. It is only 2 seat backs, o... more »

I stayed over the weekend and had a wonderful time. It had rained Friday during the day so when I got there some of the driveway was muddy, but hey, it's camping! I loved it. I saw on someone's review that you need 4x4, but that isn't true, I just would not recommend driving a Smart Car. Our site was dry and that's all that matters. I loved how primitive this place was, you really get to enjoy nature. We went kayaking on Saturday and the place was very organized for the mass amounts of volume they were experiencing. Waited a very shorty wait, especially for being busy. I also read on some reviews people complaining about having to wait long times, if they understand how anythings busy works, they should understand that busy means waits. The two women working at the check-in for camping were very pleasant and took the time to answer all my silly questions. I really enjoyed their personalities. Overall, this place was awesome and I will be returning.

Terrible place.... If it's been raining you need 4 wheel drive to get through no gravel on the mud what so ever.. they even come through with a tractor to pick up trash so they know it gets bad.Got there when it was raining and they just sent us down to the campsites and said just pick a site... it was really hard to find one especially when they give you a huge list of ones you can't have... about got stuck several times. By the time we set up site and ate there was a really rowdy loud group... they were loud from 9pm-3am and just keep in mind there quite time is 11pm. Not once were they told to be quite.. the next night same thing but worse and again not told to quite down. When you wanted to take a shower you had to drive a quarter mile up a rd that is not even attached to the river campgrounds. Shower house is only open from 8:30am-10pm and only a total of 4 showers. so pick your time right to go or you could be waiting up to an hour to get a shower.. there were also dead trees all over the place.. That's not good for a campsite that's just a death trap. The campsite down from us even had a tree fall on there car and tent... I was told that they were just in the tent 30 seconds before the tree fell close one right.. It shouldn't be like that the problem needs fixed before some gets killed it's crazy... no organization as people come and go all the time because no one actually monitors the campsites at all... I would not recommend this to any one. Reply: that is still not a excuse for the several dead trees that have faded x's on them.. those should be removed before anyone is allowed to camp under them. And also not a excuse for no one enforcing when quite time was... primitive campground our not ;up keep by the river is terrible.

We always have a great time on the river. Moonlight canoeing is a fantastic experience! We have taken many trips, it's always so peaceful. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

This place is awesome! I've been going here since I was a kid. Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable personnel, great time for the whole crew. Only one complaint an that is that you can't do the overnight trip on the weekends...

It’s really an adventure for first timers for canoeing or kayak here. The water is not shallow or deep. And water flow is normal. It took us 2 hours to finish 7 mile trip. It was fun.
