  • Be careful on the upper return trail as it is steep in places and tree roots and rocks can make it hard to keep your footing. It is a beautiful area, and the cave is gigantic.

  • Not the prettiest of the hikes in Hocking Hills but is a much easier walk than most. There is an accessible path up to the cave then you have the option of turning around to return to the parking...

  • Came here to take walks around this area. This is an easy walk. On a paved path. Breathe taking view. I enjoyed this very much.

  • It was amazing. The walk back 2as easy and short especially since my wife suffers from asthma. We went on our 3 year wedding anniversary and she was amazed and so happy definitely gonna bring the kids back here when we get a chance
  • If you park at the making entrance, it's an easy .3m trek to a small falls with a shallow pool beneath it. Wheelchair accessible until you hit the major sand. We took our 18mo and 3yo and they hiked most of it and loved it. I suggest you take towels and a jug or two of water to rinse feet and hands once back to your car. But if you're up for it, wear swimsuits and go wading! The deepest it gets is probably less than 2ft other than maybe if there was recent rain. And you can stand directly in the falls! They are small but it's fun! And so beautiful. There's like one sandy wooden bench to sit on so take a chair if you want to sit. It's such a short hike you won't notice the weight. Lovely quick jaunt that is perfect for kids, especially if you're up to get a little messy!
  • Easy to get to the Ash Cave and a wonderful site to visit. Even on a busy holiday weekend (Labor Day), the trails were well maintained and peaceful. Signage is clear at this particular part of Hocking Hills, so there really isn't any mistaking one trail for another.
  • It was a nice short walk. Definitely worth seeing only takes a few minutes of your day. I just wish they had a few more trash cans or people could just hold their garbage for a few minutes. Either way it's beautiful and you should take a look! 🙂
  • Great cave but not much of a hike. Make sure to plan to see old mans cave do the 6mile loop down to cedar falls. It was all excellent
