  • We happen upon this park while traveling in our motor home. Quite, clean, well kept and right on a golf course.
  • Hiked for about 2 hours by doing 3 or 4 connecting trails. Nice and peaceful and although we did start at first light, never encountered another human on the trails. We did see a few rabbits and kicke...  more »
  • Smal size Sate Park. They allow dogs. $3 entrance fee for adults. It has a great big hall that is air conditioned that is great for family celebrations. Nice camping facilities and a good size pool to...  more »

  • Trail aren't kept up. No water fountain at rec hall. Plenty of staff, all just seem to be sitting in the front office not actually doing anything. Will not be returning. If it wasn't for golf and pool it would get one star. It's sad they put all there efforts into keeping the golf course clean and not the trails. It's a state park not a country club.
  • Level, paved sites for larger RV's, nice tent area. Should reserve ahead of time, staff told me they are almost always full on weekends. All the sites we saw were back-in type, not an issue for us but might be for others.. 9-hole golf course in the park, plus hiking and a nice kiddy playground
  • Very nice park, cool spring fed creek that the kids and dogs loved. They have a pool but you have to pay extra to use it and it's open from 12-6, kind of ridiculous seeing how we paid to camp there.
  • Nicest park setting in a smaller town. Has a scenic 9 holes hold course that is fun to play also!
  • We love doing hiking trails, and this was our first time here to Lockhart. Trails were not kept up. Will not be coming back. The park itself was kept up, sad to say the trails weren't.
