Concannon Vineyard is the second-largest winery in the Livermore Valley of California, producing around 30,000 cases annually. It is well known for its Petite Sirah and Concannon was the first winery to bottle this grape as a varietal wine in 1961. It also produces several other varieties of wine, including Chardonnay. Concannon is owned by The Wine Group.Concannon was founded in 1883 by James Concannon of Inishmore, County Galway. Its success in producing and selling sacramental or altar wine for the Roman Catholic Church helped it to survive national Prohibition. Grape cuttings from this vineyard were introduced to Mexico between 1889 and 1904 for the improvement of its commercial viticulture. As such, the vineyard has been designated a California Historical Landmark (#641).Plan to see Concannon Vineyard and other attractions that appeal to you using our Livermore vacation builder.

The wine is pretty good (not the best) but the grounds are awesome and they have lots of cool events! Military have free tastings!
I have been going here since 2014 and have had a good experience just about every time; one time my wife and I went and just didn't feel the vibe from the server. You can taste many vines for the cost, if you join their club you can come for free and bring a few as well. I had lunch in the back and it was great; super view, very relaxing and more!

Great place for an event. I've been here for several luncheons and a 5k. Beautiful outdoor space!
Staff wasn't friendly and not as attentive as I would've liked. We had a party of 8. 4 of us went to the restroom and tried to come back in, only to be stopped and asked if we had reservations. The group in front of us didn't have that problem. Also, we went on the patio to take pictures. We tried to come back in and the door was locked behind us. We had to walk all the way around just to get back to the front. I wouldn't recommend this winery to anyone.
Gorgeous scenery, wonderful staff, a great experience.
