  • Don't pass this one up -- what a terrific museum! We did not expect to spend more than an hour, but there was plenty to see (museum is free, also!). In May, curator Jo Ellen is opening two new areas.....  more »

  • The Old Statehouse was a very interesting place to visit. I spent about 2 hours there and was very impressed. In addition to exhibits on the history of Arkansas, there were exhibits on celebrities who were born in the state. I also enjoyed the exhibit of gowns worn by the first ladies of Arkansas. The upper floor has been restored to show how it looked when the early state legislature was located there. The setting of the Old Statehouse was beautiful. It sits on the bank of the Arkansas River. I highly recommend this stop to all visitors.
  • I liked the place, took my grand daughter and believe it or not she enjoyed it too. I love history and it was very entertaining. Its definitely worth a visit. Give it a tey
  • We enjoyed the history of the building and the exhibits. Also really enjoyed The First Ladies of Arkansas exhibit. Our only negative comment is that the young lady that was at the front desk was less than welcoming when we arrived and then when we were leaving at 4:15 the gift shop had already closed. We asked the same young lady if she could help us and she said she really couldn't. There were 3 employees there at the time but we had no luck in being able to purchase anything. That was disappointing. Maybe could beef up their costumer skills a bit.
  • It's a beautiful building that has been restored and is now American history. You'll enjoy it.
  • FREE! Beautiful! History! So why wouldn't you go visit. Awesome, friendly staff.
