Wow, definitely worth the trip from Minneapolis to see! Amazing history found in that museum. Very interesting to read about Minnesotan's role in the different events. Our 2 young children had a great time looking at how the military uniforms and equipment has changed over the years and being able to climb on the tanks and helicopter were memories in the making! We will definitely be back!
Have driven by for many years without having the time to stop. Finally did and SO glad I did while traveling with my family. My dad was deployed to Iraq from '06-'08. It was pretty cool for him to see some memorabilia from his deployment there. He also gave us a tour around Camp Ripley showing us where he had trained for so many years before his retirement from the MN National Guard. Wonderful place, highly recommended!
The museum has a ton of vehicles on display outside and many weapons and medals inside. Great history of major wars around the world or in mn. It is on a military base so they will check id for all adults.
More military exhibits than I knew what to do with, it was great. Almost every firearm used by Americans in wars for the last 200 years, out front is helicopters, tanks, you name it. A must see for any history enthusiast.
Really well laid out. I was quite surprised at the static displays
