My 10-year-old daughter and I went to Big Surf Waterpark in Linn Creek on Aug. 12, the second Friday in August as a part of a weekend trip to Lake of the Ozarks. Based on the reviews and on the waterp... read more »
Nice small but clean and safe waterpark in the heart of the Osage Beach area. A great place for family fun and relaxation! Love the lazy river. Good food.
I went with a group of friends, and enjoyed my time at Big Surf. The waterslides aren't incredibly big, nor or they incredibly scary, but they are fun. Of the rides, I enjoyed Space Bowl the best. Lik... read more »
First, basing this review on a weekday visit, I imagine the weekend experience is a bit different. It would have been a 5 star review other than the entry price. Not the cheapest place for a smaller than average water park. The positive to it not being the largest though is we felt comfortable with our 7 year old going around on his own and with his big brother and just coming back and checking in after a few slides. The slides they have are fun lines weren't bad for us (Tuesday). The wave pool is one of the more active wave pools I've been in (breaking waves). The smaller kid section didn't look too large. A true positive is they don't gouge you on the food and incidentals. A hot dog, chips and a drink were $6.75. We had to buy a suit and it was only $11.
Big Surf? More like little surf. The park is incredibly small the slides are really short. The only enjoying thing was the wave pool and that's sad. The food service needs lots of work, the French fries were good but for some reason they couldn't turn our French fries into a meal if we paid the extra. The service needs work. The part that is also on a highway doesnt look all that great. To get your money's worth go to white water in Branson or Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin dells. Will not be coming back again.
We get season passes every year. It's not crazy awesome like Oceans of Fun BUT for a smaller town like ours, it's wonderful!
Horrible customer service my swim trunks ripped so I went to the store to buy some bought them tried them on tried to return them and they wouldn't give me a refund or let me exchange sizes so know here I am stuck at big surf because I'm only 13 with a rip at my croch with no one that will help me or exchange my item.ThanKS to crapy customer service I'm left with a viSable hole in my swimming trunks.
The park is great. We got seasons passes for the family. The snack bar is horrid though. Pretzels and cheese but the pretzel cold and hard. Whole pizza that says hot and fresh on the box but it was barely warm and old.
