  • For a four hour drive it wasn't even wroth it. The rides dont even open till 10:30 even though they open at ten. False advertising on their website saying its for the whole family. Even for adults there weren't a lot of rides. The staff is horrible. The management is even worse. The manager told us we couldn't sit at a cabana saying we didn't pay. Showed him the pack said our name on it and he never even apologized for his mistake. My friend was told he couldn't go a ride even though the weight limit was 400. Him and my other friend only weigh 165 a piece. This is not wroth the money or even traveling there.
  • Such a disappointing experience for our first time that I honestly hope I get to upgrade this review in the future. I spent $340 on season passes for my family of four with two toddlers, show up to go in because Google says they are open to 930 pm and spend 35 mins filling out paperwork and getting picture taken with a 2 and 3 yr old in swim suits with towels and floaties only to be told the second we cross the gate they are closed cause it is 2 mins after 4 pm!! Why wasn't I told that while you spent half an hr checking us in? They obviously saw my children were showing up to swim, I feel not only disrespect but taken advantage of.
  • I found the place clean, inviting, and very well laid out. There were lots of food options there, although we didn't eat anything there. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant. The staff was friendly, the lifeguards were super friendly and very attentive. The water was a little cool, but it is the White Mountains after all. I was trying to choose between this place and Water Country, but based on the reviews of Water Country and it's horrible bathrooms, I chose whale's tail. I'm very glad I did. On the day we went, they had a pipe rupture, and some of the bigger water slides are not working, so they offered us discounts for next time. I thought this was very nice. Especially since they got the slides up and running that day anyways.
  • Water park with many different types of slides of different heights and thrill levels. Also a "lazy river" to float in a tube to stay cool and catch your breath. There is a wave pool that runs every 10 minutes for 10 minutes. There are several food concession places including one that serves beer (maybe other alcohol too?). Prices are reasonable and the food quality is a 7/10ths.
  • Went there in August 2014 with my daughter and her family. It was loads of fun. The lines tend to be long for the more popular water slides, but the lazy river is always an option when other areas are too busy. Cold water pools and hot tubs are other possibilities. There's a souvenir stand and a full gift shop here, as well. Food options are limited, typical for a venue of this type. The place was clean, the lockers of decent size. Despite the many other guests, there was room for all. (Maybe because so many of them were waiting on lines. Haha.) I'd go again.
