  • Ordinary when you arrive, but as beautiful and scenic as advertised into the round. No ocean view, but friendly and fun course to navigate, A must play in kauai. Most reasonable $ of all the course on the island
  • Great little municipal-style course in Lihue. The first few holes are open and flat, which makes you think the entire round will be the same way... but then as you progress, the holes get more and more interesting. My favorite hole (6 I think) was a par three tee shot downhill, over water, onto a small green surrounded by jungle. Challenging, fun, and beautiful! The facilities themselves are reasonable, and there's a friendly staff running the club house. The 9th hole ends next to the club house, so its easy to stop by for a quick drink or snack at the turn. Amazing value, especially when compared with the resort courses. If I had to play a course multiple times on my trip, given the cost and overall experience here, there's no doubt it would be Puakea.
  • Fabulous golf course. Well worth the price. Get a chance to use your discount booking apps out there. They have some great twilight rates also. Used our own clubs and just bought the golf balls from Walmart down the road. Totally enjoyed our outing. Who can complain... you are in Hawaii after all.
  • What a beautiful course, great layout. very scenic. The greens are a bit beat up though. Also, you can't walk, cart is included in green fees. I rented clubs which where okay. The guy who collected them after the round was extremely rude. He said he had to count them before I could go, then he proceeded to clean them with a towel and rearrange them in the bag. When I asked him if he could count them so I could leave he ignored me and continued with his busy work. I finally said I was in a hurry. He said "yeah I'm in a hurry too." I almost thought he was angling for a tip or something... but they where rental clubs!! Strange way to end an otherwise pleasant outing. Probably wont come back because of that idiot.
  • Great course. Lots of sand, especially on the back. Also very cheap, compared to other courses on the island. Good for golfers of all skill levels. Had a blast when I was there. Course was in great shape, and hole #6 is by far the best.
