  • First, beware of your'll take you in circles! We visited Koloa and attended the free rum tasting. It's a great overview of their short, but storied, history and you get to taste several of th...  read more »
  • A note about the location: my SatNav got confused by the address, and we didn't realise initially that it's located on the Kilohana Plantation. Check the plantation website for driving directions, the...  read more »

  • Great little store with a variety of Koloa Rum. Rum tasting every half hour, but they only allow 12ish people/tasting, so sign up early and make sure you have your ID! We tasted the coconut, spiced, dark and new coffee rum and enjoyed them all, but coconut was definitely my favourite. Our tasting guide was great and very knowledgeable! The rum company is on the same lot as Gaylord's restaurant and the plantation train, so you can definitely spend a bit of time here. :)
  • With the exception of an occasional Mai Tai, I wasn't a big fan of rum until we visited the Koloa Rum Company. They had a very informative rum tasting which introduced me to some of their fantastic taste treats that they offered. I am now a fan.
  • Free rum tasting + best rum I've ever had = easy 5 star rating. If you have any interest in craft booze, then this is a must-see. Make sure to call first to see what time the tastings start... then arrive early as they fill up fast and you can't make reservations.
  • Rum tasting was free and fun. The rum tasting list fills up fast (20 spots or so available for each tasting that occurs on the hour). The rum was fine, seemed pricey for what it was, but I'm no connoisseur.
  • Ohh la la. Yummy rum to take home for souvenirs. They have t-shirts and other merch but who cares about that. Rum!
