Half theme park and half water park, Idlewild & SoakZone offers a mix of adventure areas, dry rides, and waterslides. Named “Best Children’s Park in the World” by Amusement Today, the park also stands as the oldest theme park in Pennsylvania. In Storybook Forest, young children can interact with characters from their favorite fairy tales. Take a ride on the classic Rollo Coaster for more of a thrill. Cool down in the wave pool, lazy river, or on one of the various waterslides. You can book strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs online in advance. This will always be our favorite park to take younger children. Love the wooded setting, age-appropriate rides, and atmosphere. So glad we have an excuse to come back (with grandchildren now). Little ... more »

We have been having a company picnic at Idlewild for years. Each year it is disappointing to see the park going down hill every time we go. Today I didn't count how many rides were closed. The rides t... more »

This is a small amusement park. You can ride everything in one day. There were some rides and food places closed when we went. Park is nice and clean and plenty of places in the shade to sit. Food pri... more »

We bought season tickets because we love it so much. Even though we live 2 1/2 hours away it's worth the drive. I have a 4 and 5 year old and they absolutely love it. There is something for everyone. The park is under the trees so your not in the sun all day. The staff there are very friendly and helpful

Idlewild is still one of the most enjoyable parks for the whole family. The rides aren't too intense but there is a charm to the park that you can't find elsewhere. Most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. The lines usually aren't too long as you will only wait a few minutes tops. The longest wait is usually for the trolley and that is only due to the limited seating and the length of the ride. The park is showing some signs of aging and could use a little extra attention in certain areas. There also seem to be a few rides that are rarely open over the last few years. Unfortunately these are some of the larger rides that are also a bit more thrilling. So if you are seeking thrills, this may not be the place for you. Now if you want a relaxing day out with the entire family, this is the park for you! Watching kids react to seeing Daniel Tiger or watching them enjoy the kiddie rides is worth it. The soak zone is also a fun place for everyone and just right to cool down on those hot days. Speaking of cooling down, this park offers a lot of natural shade leaving very few totally open areas. Even on the warmest of days you won't be trapped in the sun for any length of time. Go for the entire experience and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere!

Love taking my kids here! Even more fun than when I was a kid. Many different ways for the kids to burn off energy in jumping jungle, then enjoy the rides, and later beat the heat in soak zone. Very family friendly! Love the 3 pay option on the season passes!

This was our twirlette groups second time to the park. It is very kid friendly. I highly recommend it for groups. The free pavilion with 25 or more is awesome to bring picnic lunches. The older kids love Soak Zone. The only thing I recommend is that the gift shops stay open a little longer. It rained the day we were there this year the park shut down for an hour maybe you could keep it open for a little longer when this happens. To help compensate for the time lost like for us that traveled 2 + hours to come. But over all everything was great we will be coming back. Sincerely Rolling Thunder Baton Corp

I absolutely love this place! It is a little bit pricey but everything here is amazing. It is the perfect place for a nice family friendly vacation. I have gone there and got the season passes and go many times in one season! Totally worth the money!
