Independence Grove Forest Preserve is a must see - especially for walkers, bikers, moms with strollers, and people who like to picnic and swim. Lake County did a wonderful job developing this park and... more »
Beautiful venue both inside and outside for a wedding and reception. Gorgeous gardens, intimate and photogenic. The customer service from security to waitstaff was stellar. I can't say enough about how nice the waitstaff Was that I encountered. The whole event ran smoothly and it flowed easily for all guests from one moment to the next. This is a venue worth checking out for anyone looking for a wedding spot!
You cant go wrong if you are planning to visit this place. There is something for everyone (all ages) either you come single or as a couple or with Friends or with Family. I recommend this place for anyone who want to go out, relax & have fun.
Wonderful place to hike, bike ride or cross country skiing or to go to the beach. Great park for the kids and you can rent various boats. And there is a restaurant, if there was a hotel it would be a resort. Great place!
Pretty place for a wedding. The guests may get rained on. The lake looked like it had a nice swimming are and some boats, kayaks, and canoes to rent. The walking paths are well maintained and have nice gravel.
Beautiful place, beautiful water, boating and trails around it. Great options for activities, boat rental, bike rental, fishing, swimming beach etc. I wasn't happy that it costs $10 per car if you aren't a Lake County resident. Only $5 on weekdays but I probably won't get there other than a Sunday. Also we really went to fish and they require you to throw everything back which was a disappointment as well.
