Waveland State Historic Site, also known as the Joseph Bryan House, in Lexington, Kentucky is the site of a Greek Revival home and plantation now maintained and operated as part of the Kentucky state park system. It was the home of the Joseph Bryan family, who followed Daniel Boone through the Cumberland Gap, and became an early settler and horseman of this region.

  • We visited this amazing place in September of 2016 Fantastic tour with a depth of information that you rarely find. Interesting connection to the Daniel Boone family. I would highly recommend this! 
  • Always a beautiful grounds to enjoy, small cabin etc. During Christmas you can tour the beautifully decorated Southern style mansion.

  • This place has 5 pokéstops! Also a gym to train your pokémon haha but really its a nice place to get some history and get married.
  • We did family pictures here. There are great scenery and so close to town.
  • Went for the outdoor movie series. The staff and the venue were great, although there were some AV issues.
  • Beautiful area for everyday & loved the haunted trails & house tours for Halloween!
  • We had a wonderful time watching a vintage baseball game on the grounds of Waveland. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff were very friendly. My daughter loved the nature trail and had so much fun! Hope to come back for other great events!
