Where to stay in Lexington

Downtown Lexington offers accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, but for easier access to the area's famous horse parks and farms, consider staying just north of the city proper. Many rustic bed and breakfasts on the edge of town offer guests a chance to stay at a farmhouse or log cabin. These properties provide not only every comfort of home, but also much more privacy than a downtown hotelĀ could offer. To avoid driving to Lexington's major urban attractions, consider a hotel near the city's convention center.

  • Great venue for any special event. The decor is beautiful and the staff will make sure your event goes perfectly.
  • Good venue for holiday parties.
  • I had my wedding reception at the Barrel House in April and we had an amazing time! Not only were the owners most helpful, they were way easy to work with. We got exactly what we wanted. The food, the drinks, and the service was off the charts;I couldn't imagine having the party anywhere else. Even the DJ was awesome. I give Kelly and staff a very enthusiastic two thumbs up. One of my friends had a reception there last week and we had the best service as well. Great place, great owners, great times!
  • Great place. Great service. Great everything!
  • If I could go back and re-do my wedding day, I would have it anywhere else. Although the day of the wedding everything went well, before and after were hell. I have never been treated so condescendingly by anyone, telling my my worries about their lack of communication and unprofessional-ism were because I was "a typical young bride" (I'm 26). Getting them to take a phone call or respond to an email is like pulling teeth. They lost our photo booth pictures and refused to speak with us, to the point that we had to start the process of taking legal action and sending them a certified letter from small claims court. They are unorganized, rude, and make planning an event super stressful. Read their "filtered" reviews on Yelp, I'm definitely not the only one with issues. It is such a shame because the event venues are gorgeous and the catering (though outrageously expensive) is very good. I would not recommend this event venue to anyone.
