Where to stay in Lexington

Downtown Lexington offers accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, but for easier access to the area's famous horse parks and farms, consider staying just north of the city proper. Many rustic bed and breakfasts on the edge of town offer guests a chance to stay at a farmhouse or log cabin. These properties provide not only every comfort of home, but also much more privacy than a downtown hotelĀ could offer. To avoid driving to Lexington's major urban attractions, consider a hotel near the city's convention center.

  • My family and I attended one of the nature walks at night. It was tons of fun and interesting. Great outdoor activity for the little ones.  more »
  • I've been to Raven Run twice and each time have had such a fun time each visit. Only thing I'd say is on the map they rate the trails easy to hard and I don't think the ratings accurately reflect the ...  more »

  • Excellent trails for beginning and moderate hiking. There are plenty of excellent views and streams to relax by. Recommended trails are the red and yellow trails. For those who just want a leisurely time outside of the city, I would recommend the green or blue trails. Be sure to stop by the mini museum to get maps and information about local flora and fauna as well as sign the check-in sheet before you go hiking. This is, overall, a great location to find your inner peace and is located not far from the Lexington city limits.
  • Raven Run has nice long trails with a variety of difficulty and views. The features along the trail are really cool. It was a short drive to get there and gives you the feeling that you are far away from city life. It is a peaceful sanctuary that was very quiet and serene. Thank you for keeping it clean!
  • I really enjoyed my time here, lots of hiking. Lots of things to take in and see, I did all the trails and was not disappointed. The over look was beautiful, hiking next to the creek was peaceful. I found a friend along the trail, a beautiful red hound dog. I highly recommend this place to just get back to nature.
  • Great place to hike. Trails marked for difficulty. Well kept but not much human presence... Which is great.
  • Great views of the river! If you want to get away and enjoy some nature but don't have time to drive far, this is your answer! Paved trail for special needs and regular earth trails as well.
