Where to stay in Lexington

Downtown Lexington offers accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, but for easier access to the area's famous horse parks and farms, consider staying just north of the city proper. Many rustic bed and breakfasts on the edge of town offer guests a chance to stay at a farmhouse or log cabin. These properties provide not only every comfort of home, but also much more privacy than a downtown hotel could offer. To avoid driving to Lexington's major urban attractions, consider a hotel near the city's convention center.

  • Excellent park with plenty of options for things to do! I used the disc golf course which was challenging!  more »
  • I walked around the paved trails, and ventured into some of the off the road trails around the frisbee golf sections. The place is fairly large, and I thought it was beautiful. There don't seem to be ...  more »
  • Beautiful park, rented a pedal boat last Saturday. Charge is $4 for 2 seater for 30 minutes. Not sure what it was for 4 seater but I'm sure it isn't too much more. 30 min is plenty of time to pedal ar...  more »

  • Jacobson park is truly a breath of fresh air. A homely park where you can enjoy with family and friends or just have a peaceful walk alone. A perfect spot for family gatherings. Feel free to pick up your fishing rods too and go on a fishing spree. Jacobson park has a huge area and has a good location as well.
  • I really enjoy this park. There's a lot to do. It has a great playground for the kids. You can fish here too.
  • A great park. Plenty of things for kids to climb on. Young kid friendly as you can swing with your baby! Paddle boats available when nice and warm. Fishing is also an option. Two separate areas 2-5 playground and a bigger kids playground.
  • First time here and LOVED it! Beautiful lake to fish at. Lots of people just doing what they loved. A few people had kayaks in the lake fishing. Lots of different activities going on. Playground for the kids, clean bathrooms (as a mom very important, bc kids touch everything) Didn't see any hiking though. Next to a golf course for you golfers out there!
  • One of the better parks in Lexington. I absolutely love the disc golf course, but it's more for advanced disc golfing as the course has A LOT of trees.
