  • Went fishing last summer with my kids. They caught garbage. Lakes need's a HUGE Clean up. Very sad because it's a beautiful park.

  • This is a huge, beautiful park with lots to do. There's plenty of open space to run and play or just relax on the grass. There is a disc golf course, a dog park, a playground, several covered structures for parties, some uncovered picnic tables/grill areas, as well as a dock or two on the lake where I've seen people fishing. The disc golf course is mostly in and around the forest area on the far end of the park, and looks fun and challenging, although I haven't played there (or much at all for that matter). My only complaint is that there aren't really any walking paths or anything like that anywhere that we could find.
  • For non sports facilty this is the best in Lexington. Good kids playground and picnic shelters. Good for Kites and dog walks. The lake is barely OK for fishing. Shallow, needing to be dredged and gets drawn down in the winter. Fish are stocked as a FINS lake by KDFW. Fishing docks are nice. Parking good.
  • Not sure why the wooden towers have been blocked off..... If the structure is unsafe it should be taken down. Older kids are climbing over the wall to access the top and it's nothing but a headache for those of us with young kids that want to climb it. Guessing the city was leaving a little bit of the old for those who protested the new. Bad move!!!!
  • We really don't like the new playground there doesn't seem to be enough space or shade for everyone and don't even get me started on the extremely rude and obnoxious park "ranger" that goes around. He blasts his little megaphone and tells everyone the park is closing before the park even gets dark! And as if we couldn't hear him across the park he will come right up to you as you're walking and blast his megaphone in your ear about how the park is closing and if you don't leave now, you'll have to come back at 6 am to get your car. He completely ruins the experience everytime and seems to close the park at his own discretion. We will be finding a new park to frequent from now on unless they get rid of this guy!
  • Lots of open spaces. The reservoir is beautiful! There is a huge dog park!!! An extremely large playground for the kids. Along with a frisbee golf course. Picnic tables and pavilions
