  • The Explorarium is a great idea. There are a lot of interesting exhibits but sadly many are broken or have pieces missings. It is frustrating to children and parents when things are left in this state...  more »
  • This is obviously an older and smaller museum for children. It could definitely use some updates. That being said, it was really entertaining for my 2 year old. She had a great time. I wouldn't think ...  more »
  • Great science museum with lots of hands on exibits. Better for children age 4-10. Keep your eyes on them as there is much to be distracted by. A real nightmare when large groups are visiting. They all...  more »

  • Very disappointed!!!! We are from Tennessee and brought our 3 & 4 year old to Kentucky. We decided on our way out to make a stop in the Explorium to let the kids play, since most of our trip was spent in a room or in the hospital. The very first thing we stopped at in the explorium (the little aquarium) was broke, the next thing the horse measure thing was also messed up. Then we got to what would have been our kids favorite part; the water. No absolutely just no!! It was disgusting, nasty and barely had any water in it. Where we live we have a Creative discovery museum in Chattanooga about 1 hour from our house. Which we usually go to. For what we paid for 4 people to get into the explorium we could add about $35 more to it and get a year membership to our discovery museum. I read the reviews on this place before we went but thought maybe they've fixed the issues. They haven't which is sad it has a lot of potential. But for us we decided not to waste our time nor our money and asked for a refund. Which they were ify on giving us, even though Wed only been in there maybe 8 minutes. The parking also sucks. My suggestion don't wasteyour time trying to park and then wwalking to this place and then waste your money in there it definitely is not worth it!
  • Great for my toddler. It had a cleaner smell but better that than - let's face it - urine. Fun for me too!
  • Its seen better days but, what is there is great fun for all ages. It would benefit from better care and a renovation though.
  • The Explorium could be a phenomenal place to visit and take your kids to, unfortunately it is not kept up. Lots of the displays are really old, the "live" exhibits of spiders and roaches are not alive at all. It's too bad because I live the idea of a science museum for kids . on a more positive note, the staff is nice.
  • This was a great place for the kids to learn and have fun.
