Where to stay in Lexington

Downtown Lexington offers accommodations ranging from budget to luxury, but for easier access to the area's famous horse parks and farms, consider staying just north of the city proper. Many rustic bed and breakfasts on the edge of town offer guests a chance to stay at a farmhouse or log cabin. These properties provide not only every comfort of home, but also much more privacy than a downtown hotelĀ could offer. To avoid driving to Lexington's major urban attractions, consider a hotel near the city's convention center.

  • Great beers, unique flavors. And thank goodness for Dad's Catering being on sight with their pulled pork nachos! It was the perfect addition to our beers.  more »

  • For my money, this is the best beer in Lexington. If you want to go to a Lexington brewery for the beer, go to Blue Stallion. Now that Dad's Favorites has moved in, this is a legitimate dinner + drinks destination. Dad's is seriously good and my favorite of the three in-brewery food options in town. The bar itself is comically high, but the overall atmosphere is good, especially when they open up the garage/patio door. I love that you can see straight to where they brew the beer.
  • Their porters and stouts never disappoint! This is my favorite microbrewery in Lexington. They always have something new to try even if it sounds a little crazy (peanut butter, mango, habanero) but it never disappoints! They offer more than just beer such as music and trivia. Atmosphere is great and you never have to worry about the crowd they draw.
  • On a recent Monday afternoon, I purchased $11 worth of beer and was surprised that the bartender told me he wanted a tip. I felt this was rude and left without tipping. The same week I spent $16 at Pizza Hut and left a $4 tip. Why the difference? At Pizza Hut I was well taken care of and nobody tried to panhandle money from me. Here's a tip for the bartender with a beard that took my order. GET A REAL JOB AND PAY TAXES LIKE I DID FOR 50 YEARS.
  • Great space and really good craft beer. Definitely get a sandwich to go with your beer. Very friendly and fun.
  • One the best local breweries made better with having Dads Beer Cheese sandwiches inside.
