  • It's a very nice museum and I learned quite a bit about Stonewall. (I'm more of a Lee girl) It's $8. to get in...and kind of close quarters. The tour is about 30 minutes with a short film in the beginning. They have a gift shop where you can buy all of your favorite Stonewall Jackson merchandise. I purchased organic green beans there & I tell everyone that they're magic Stonewall Jackson beans. You should see the looks I get.
  • Jacksons house has been rebuilt and refurnished to represent how it looked during the time it was owned by Stonewall. This renovation looks good and there is a lot of nice detail about the house and time period. The tour was nice and there is a small gift shop. I would say it's easy to spend about 60 to 90 minutes here to get the full experience.
  • Good museum for the money (8 dollars 6/1/17) nice and quick tour with lots of artifacts and well informed staff.
  • A compelling insight into the life of one of America's most tragic figures. Jackson was a humble man that was motivated by love and faith, who gave his life fighting for a cause he believed was essential in maintaining the Godliness of the State he loved. A peasant to the Antibellum aristocrats that ran the Southern war effort, Jackson won his rank and fame not because of who he knew or the sum total of his wealth, but by the principles of ingenuity, tactical and strategic brilliance, and uncommon valor that set him apart from his contemporaries and made him a legend.
  • Very thorough tour, interesting background and information on General Jackson, but the house tour was rather short. A grounds walking tour would have been interesting as his garden was mentioned as a special and "modern" (for the time) pastime but not displayed. The house, very well kept, the grounds, not so well.
