  • The park has a beach with shallow water which is perfect for kids. Kids can see fish, snails and other interesting creatures there. You can rent a bike there (no cost) and explore trails, see old fort, climb towers, fish, drive on the beach. When we were there (26 June) the water was too cold to swim. Also, unfortunately the most interesting part of the park (sandspit) is closed because of bird sanctuary. Overall, it was a great experience. We had a wonderful day at the park. I would definitely recommend to visit it!
  • There is just so much to explore here! Gorgeous beach with big, fun waves. Old WW2 bunkers and towers. Beautiful trails that are fantastic for birding. Huge, sandy dunes that you can stroll up and down. You can take a ferry to Cape May, a popular birding destination. It's right across the water. We camped out at one of the group sites, within a mile of the beach. I wouldn't set up your tent anywhere near the woods. Too many ticks in that area. Aim for the nice open areas that they have there.
  • Love how nice and pristine the place is. The beach is beautiful and you have the amenities you need. My suggestion would be to bring a well stocked cooler with food and drinks. The concession stand is limited and pricey. There's no grocery store close by.
  • Top notch state park. Beautiful beaches. Well maintained. Awesome bike trails. Historic WW2 structures and equipment and lots more!
  • For being a state park, the beach was not bad, not over crowded depending on when you get there, as long as you go mid afternoon, food purchasing is limited and doesn't stay open very long and service sucks, not surprising due to the fact it is Government funded, we hardly ever use Government claimed property for anything, also being funded by tax money, it should not have any fees associated with entering or parking of any type.
