  • Just love walking thru Ft. Miles. So much history here, so much from the world wars. At certain times of the year you can also go on tours of the bunker 519. Great stories of the history here.  more »

  • This is by far the best park in Delaware. A very unique place with great trails, walk-in beaches, drive on beaches, and for surfing. A must stop if you are in the area.
  • It's cool and all, but what park doesn't want people to visit by only taking cash, with no other options for entrance? This isn't a struggling business that can't afford to take credit cards, its run by the state.
  • Fantastic park employees. And easy access to northern part of beach and doesn't get too crowded until afternoon. Plenty of safe and easy bike paths for the family. WWII guns, batteries and bunkers are awesome to tour. A perfect place to start or finish your trip to the shore.
  • The park is very nice, the beach is clean and surveilled. Don't miss the little but nice nature center where they also borrow bikes for free for kids and adults, it close at 4:00 PM. There are paths in the shade but when it is really hot a morning ride could be better. Don't forget the water!!
  • How close you can get to photograph the Lighthouse on the Breakwater, could effect which lens you will use, this shot was done with a 400 mm on a windy day.
