  • When I come o Lancaster I like to shop for authentic homemade things. A lot of the shops have candles like "Yankee Candle". I wanted the real homemade kind. Hayloft makes their candles right onsite. T...  more »
  • A must visit. We love all the animals and its free. The donkeys are our favorite. Don't miss the ice cream.

  • We dig this place. Good destination for a Saturday afternoon ride. Tasty ice cream, fun for the kids. The animals are fine-- if you essentially see animals as equal in status to humans, you'll likely not approve of any petting farm. But you should understand that there are a range of valid views on the issue. The Amish seem to see animals in a more traditional/utilitarian way but generally seem quite humane in their husbandry practices.
  • Free petting zoo for the kids! There are quarter gumball machines that you can get feed out of. Feed the ducks/geese on the beautiful pond while taking a pleasant walk around it on the paved pathway. If you're not into a walk there's a small gazebo that you can sit in right beside the pond and feed the water fowl from. On the same side of the pond is the rest of the petting zoo. A very nice setup if you don't want to have to travel far.
  • the most amazing ice cream and animals ever. i like going there!!!
  • They just redid all the boarding and spruced it up .. it's a lot nicer now... go again and give it a try agaiN. The candle shop is alright but expensive(for a local). The ice cream is really good and cheap. Bring lots of quarters To feed animals.
  • My granddaughter and I love feeding the animals and topping it off with a dish of ice cream!!
