  • We had a wonderful wine tasting at Chateau Fontaine. The wine was very good and the staff was exceptional. We definitely bought some wine and will return when in the area again.  more »

  • Very good wine - including reds. Very fair prices. Annie is great. Don't change a thing and you have a loyal customer!
  • Great great great selection of wine! Their wine is so well made that it doesn't matter if you like sweet or dry, red or white--you will love everything you try here! Their staff is very knowledgeable of the wine they're serving and will help you with your tasting if you're not sure what you want to try, or you can just try everything! They serve crackers and cheeseball as a palate cleanser (SO GOOD) and a hershey's kiss with their cherry wine. They have lots of things for purchase besides wine too, its a good place to get a souvenir or a gift for someone.
  • My wife and I discovered this winery on our Honeymoon a year ago. Since then, Chateau Fontaine has become our go to vineyard. We have been back twice since last year and are heading back next week! This is the first Michigan winery we have been to that we absolutely enjoyed every wine we tried. We never leave without purchasing at least a mixed case of wine. Our three favorites are the Big Paw Red, Woodland White and Gewurztraminer. All of their wines are fantastic and you can really see that their business is built on the love of what they do. If you haven't been to Chateau Fontaine yet, do yourself a favor and add it to your itinerary. You wont be disappointed! Cheers!
  • Stopped in on our wine tour through the peninsula. Very friendly staff and free tastings of most of the primary wines. Delicious Rieslings and a very lovely decor. Very impressed with this establishment and will need to keep trying vintages as they come out.
  • This is a must-stop for my wife and myself whenever we are in the area. Very high quality wine - I think it's the best in the area - and a friendly and knowledgeable staff (Matt this time, who was fantastic). It was where I first felt I was beginning to understand wine, and I learn more with every visit.
