  • Made this diversion and were so glad for the stop. While going down the road to the drive thru tree there were all these wood carvings of animals along the road which made the wait to got thru the tre...  more »
  • I'll caveat this review with it was a long weekend, but you'd think a 15 car line to simply drive through a tree would take an hour. Should you journey this way be respectful in the car-que and keep t...  more »
  • A must stop place when driving on the highway 101. You do not drive through a redwood all the time. Also is a place to rest and let the kids run around and catch a snack. Overall, a family recommend i...  more »

  • Fun little park. As you drive through, look into the woods to see various carvings. Kids loved the mind boggling size of the trees. Nice little gift shop. Also, big lawn area, picnic tables, and restrooms. We packed a picnic and took advantage of the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended if you're in the area!
  • I was able to drive through the hige redwood in my minivan. We went on a hike up the trails next to the gift shop. Best $5 I ever spent.
  • This was a nice stop in the middle of nowhere between 1 and 101 They novelty was certainly worth the $5 entrance fee -- especially after the other "drive-through tree" near Yosemite recently fell over. Perhaps removing large sections of a tree may decrease the structural stability? Needless to say: my camper van did not fit.
  • Drive slow and have a good look around here, there are beautiful wooden sculptures everywhere here. The drive thru tree is fun, and a bit scary when you drive thru it in a rental car. Of course every attraction has a gift shop, but this is actually a nice one. Most of the wooden articles are made locally and they've got a lot of funny stuff there and nice people.
  • Pretty cool place with a good gift shop. I could not give it 5 stars as I can't get out of my mind how much harm has been done to this beautiful tree by cutting a large hole at it's base.
