  • Really a charming place. Great wine served in a tasting room that is the dining room and library of an antique southern farm house. The owners are your hosts and they are very kind and knowledgeable.  more »

  • This place was amazing. I usually go to tastings to spend time with friends, not because I'm particularly into wine, but this was really fantastic. First of all, we were in the barn - we had a group of ten. The place smelled AMAZING. Why didn't I buy a candle?! I'm tempted to go back there just to purchase one. Anyway, the owner was great. His daughter and her wife assisted with the pouring and they were super nice, too. Instead of telling us what the wine would taste like, they gave us a flavor wheel so we could decide what we thought. I think this would be really neat for people who are experienced with wine tasting. Our group had a great time. I don't know if other people would like this, but there were long breaks between pouring. I actually really liked it because it gave us time to chat and really discuss the wines. It didn't feel rushed. They gave us dark chocolate with one of the reds (taste, chocolate, then taste again), which was a really cute touch. I have to say, this place had the best wine I've ever tasted, like, ever. First of all, each wine smelled so delicious. I was surprised at how wonderful they smelled! If you can't tell, I'm big on smell and with the candles and wines, this place really provided! The wines all had such delightfully unique tastes. Our group especially loved Adeline, a white wine. We bought several bottles. I haven't had such an array of fragrant, flavorful wine before. Normally I find it hard to get through tastings without falling behind the others because I don't drink fast enough and it takes me a bit to figure out whether I like it (a lot of times I don't). I really had time to enjoy myself during the tasting, to the point where I would go back not just as a part of a group, but because I actually liked the experience itself and would want to do another tasting. Long story short, I plan on going back for Adeline and a candle! 💖
  • Zephaniah is an amazing vineyard. All of their wines are exquisite, and the team there is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the history of the farm. I tried Zephaniah for the first time Veteran's Day weekend and arranged for my whole family to return over Thanksgiving weekend. Bonnie was able to accommodate our group and was incredibly gracious and hospitable. I have yet to visit and leave without buying at least one bottle of wine to enjoy later. I highly recommend visiting this destination.
  • My staff enjoyed a wine tasting at the farm this weekend. There are beautiful views and many shade trees to enjoy a picnic under. The tasting room is beautiful and perfect for any event. I had a corporate team building event but it would work for just about anything. The owners are very humble and would never insinuate how gifted they are. The winery has award winning wines for a reason ...it takes effort and smarts! A wonderful experience and a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend.
  • Wonderful wines, and a great staff. Definitely worth spending some time here. The steamship white & chambourcin stood out.
  • If NoVA wineries are starting to feel a bit like Disney World, check this place out for an interesting change in speed.
