  • I'm here at least once a week with a hiking group. A great place for any type of outdoor activity, hiking, boating, camping, swimming, and fishing.  more »
  • The reservoir is a bit of a hidden gem in the county. Great for hiking, family picnic, and water fun such as canoeing and paddle boarding. Small motor boats and fishing also popular. Has a beach area ...  more »
  • Took the grandkids for a look and see. They enjoyed hanging out in the shallow water at boat ramp, and tossing a football in the grassy area. I enjoyed sitting on the bench and taking it all in!  more »

  • Park is nice and I'm sure hiking is beautiful, but the beach area is horrible. Crowded, the area chained off for water is so small everyone is packed in there like sardines. The snack shack food might be the worst I have ever had. They must soak their food in grease before serving. Disgusting. Couldn't even eat the onion rings because I didn't want a heart attack. No trash cans anywhere also. I get your supposed to put it in your trash bag they give you because they don't want to attract bears but they should have at least one accessible trash can.
  • Clean water lake, but the wait is difficult and crazy. Waiting in line then when you get there no more parking. You must be there by 8:00 am to get in. And in the weekdays, you can't swim because there isn't enough lifeguard.
  • Great place to spend the day on the water. Beware of strange currents in the middle of the water. Kayaking gets tiring when not near shore due to the currents from the depth. Other than that, great place to be on the water
  • Autumn is the ideal time to visit. The foliage is intense and there's a wonderfully clean, crisp breeze that comes through. The water is one of the most beautiful things I've seen and the landscape of hills on top of a mountain is amazing. Summer gets crowded on weekends but weekdays are still great for peace and quiet!
  • Great place for backpacking so close to the city! The campsites are large and well separated and clean and close to the water. The reservoir has pristine clear waters. The hike was moderate but had too many road crossings and views of roads.
