  • After reading many positive reviews, we decided on going to this museum instead of others in the area. $12 admission is steep for the quality of the museum; many exhibits are outdated and the rooms ha...  read more »

  • Very interesting multi level museum with each floor being filling with fun and educational facts about the history of mining, not only in the surrounding area, but all over the world! Go into the Moon and outer space exhibit and you will even see rocks from the moon and meteors that fell from space. I like the interactive displays and even the mock caves, mining shafts and tunnels that they have through out the whole building. Anybody interested in geology would love this place. Go up to the fourth floor terrace and see an amazing view of the whole town of Leadville.
  • Was at the museum around two on June 16 2016 and thought the museum was great but the guy who was working there was a complete jerk. He said he was a retired miner but he is really in the wrong job. Not friendly and on our way out he told me that I couldn't use the drinking fountain. Worst museum experience ever.
  • They have a funky schedule but it's definitely worth the visit when they are open. Leadville is a cool little town. Lots of history and storytelling.
  • Very neat place can spend hours there. So much to see don't think you could in just one trip.
  • She would like to make a million dollars big enough gold and silver diamonds and rubies Cadillacs and houses mean candy bars sure why not Outback Billy said I'm coming out back there y'all looking forward to seeing you exclamation point.
