  • Great camping, walking around the lake, bicycling and just enjoying nature. I'm lucky to live so close to such a lovely State Park!
  • This is one of our families favorite places to camp and spend some family time. Lot of history. You can take a tour of the old woolen mill and the Watkins home. They have done an excellent job of rest...  more »
  • My wife and I visited this park while in Lawson, MO. For us it was not that exciting. The park has really nice walking trails. The Watkins mill and house cost $4 per person to tour. A lot of history h...  more »

  • I love this place. My kids grew up camping here on the weekends. Lots of good memories camping, riding bikes on the trail, swimming at the beach and fishing. Having a camp fire and roasting marshmallows... Beautiful settings. Can't say enough good things about the place!
  • The camp sites are really nice-some even paved! Like the fact that there are 50amp sites, nice slabs for the picnic tables, and fire rings! The sites are quite spacious. The shower house/restrooms are always clean! We love this campground! Very convenient to our home, however now that all the sites are by reservation only it makes it difficult to camp here on the spur of the moment like in the past. Love the lake, swim beach, and walking/biking trail! Very beautiful and maintained well.
  • Awesome state park that has a great paved walking/biking trail around the lake. As well as additional hiking trails and campground. The museum is also very informative.
  • Our experience here was very pleasant! Nice and relaxing very well shaded camp site. Very clean and roomy as well.Camp host are very friendly and helpful!!! They also have activities scheduled throughout the weekend for kids. Nice trails and playground area.
  • The bike trails and fishing lake are nice. But the swim beach is disgusting. The water smelled gross. There was geese poop everywhere. Dogs. Trash. Swimmers that clearly weren't leaving to use the bathroom.
