  • Great camping, walking around the lake, bicycling and just enjoying nature. I'm lucky to live so close to such a lovely State Park!
  • This is one of our families favorite places to camp and spend some family time. Lot of history. You can take a tour of the old woolen mill and the Watkins home. They have done an excellent job of rest...  read more »
  • My wife and I visited this park while in Lawson, MO. For us it was not that exciting. The park has really nice walking trails. The Watkins mill and house cost $4 per person to tour. A lot of history h...  read more »
  • Our experience here was very pleasant! Nice and relaxing very well shaded camp site. Very clean and roomy as well.Camp host are very friendly and helpful!!! They also have activities scheduled throughout the weekend for kids. Nice trails and playground area.
  • Kids love camping here, cul-de-sac allows the kids to ride bikes without worrying about tons of cars flyig through
  • I went camping with a group of friends over a weekend. Campsites were nicely maintained, had tree coverage but still plenty of places to pitch our tents. The camp hosts came through regularly on a golf cart. The rules limit the number of vehicles in a space and they counted a camper as a vehicle so if you have a group be aware some people may have to park quite a ways away from the campsite. Facilities were well kept and convenient. There are lots of racoon's and they are very bold. If you bring food in the evening make sure you keep it in secure containers. They opened coolers and even unzipped a tent that wasn't all the way closed to get at food. There is a nice paved trail around the lake but no good hiking trails which was my main disappointment. Overall, a nice place to camp with a few things to be aware of.
  • Not the place to go with a group!!!! We had a ladies only weekend, about 8 campers of us. Several on Medicare, and the Camp Host was very rude to us. Granted our singing may have been loud, but he was extremely rude to us and tried to break us up before quiet time. Needless to say, we were not happy campers
  • One of the best camping in the area. The bike trail is great, the camp's shower houses are clean as are the camp sites. Also the camp hosts were the nicest people we have had in some time at a camp ground.
