  • My wife and I "rode" a part of the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky with Four Roses distillery on our list. This place was fantastic! The tour is really informative and once you get to the tasting room; be c...  more »

  • This was one of our last visits and we opted for the tasting only - which made sense since they are under construction and we were told that there is not much to see on the tour. You get to taste 3 bo...  more »
  • Four Roses Distillery is a relaxing and enjoyable place to spend an afternoon. The history, the tours, the whiskey, and everything else in this Distillery is phenomenal. The whiskey tour is very informative and the whiskey tasting are very tasty. The Four Roses chocolate box really has a nice kick to them. There is also a very relaxing swing outside the main building, which is perfect for taking a picture. In addition, the tasting takes place outside which was very enjoyable. Note that the tasting is $5 per person, however, the cup where you will be tasting out off will be given as a souvenir that cost $4.95 in the store. So technically the tasting is $.05.
  • Great experience with our tour guide, Emily. She was knowledgeable and made us at home. Unfortunately a lot of the distillery is under construction so we didn't get to really see the process or anything but the grounds are still beautiful. The tasting was splendid and you can keep a cute glass. I look forward to coming back after construction is complete. They thing it will be by 2018
  • Stopped here on our tour for the Bourbon Trail. The grounds are all currently (5.25.17) under construction, so this could have attributed to the overall lack of polished feel. The highlight was the incredibly friendly tasting staff, but overall this was the least exciting stop out of the six we've had.
  • Awesome bourbon, and I even am lucky enough to have to go there for work occasionally. They are in the middle of a massive expansion, so it is a bit of a mess right now, but the grounds are beautiful and unique compared to the other stops on the bourbon trail. And of course the bourbon is delicious.
  • Four Roses by far was the worst experience of all the distilleries that we visited. We paid for the tour and tasting but because of of their disorganization among their employees we were given a tasting but were refused an actual tour. Apparently not known to all employees is a policy that once a tasting is given the visitors cannot be given a tour. Tasting host was a new employee and was friendly but did not know any history or facts of the bourbon process. Another employee was rude and seemed happy to inform us that we were ineligible for the tour. What a shame that Four Roses is spending millions to enlarge their operation but do not give priority to proper training of employees or management of the visitor experience.
