Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.

  • If you're looking for an all-inclusive wedding experience, this is the one. The Tropicana handled literally everything (music, minister, flowers, photos), and the setting was beautiful! We chose the Island Chapel, but the other venues were just as lovely. I love that we got a nice balance: the ease and fun of a Las Vegas wedding, with the elegance of traditional nuptials. The staff was incredibly professional and took all my Bridal stress away. And I can't say enough about our photographer Irving; I am not photogenic and was so worried that I wouldn't have any good shots... our photos are incredible. Amazing!
  • We selected Tropicana LV Weddings because their packages were affordable and we loved the court yard area for our wedding ceremony of 50 guest. However, now we regret going with this venue, if I would have known that my wedding day was going to be ruined I would have paid an extra $1,000 and gone with Mandalay Bay or Venetian for their great customer service and attention to detail. The planning of the wedding ceremony was great, simple and seamless, so it seemed. However, the day of the wedding everything seemed to be rushed. We provided the entrance song as they requested and when it came time for me, the bride to walk down the isle the song was over, the person incharge of the video and sound wasnt capable of clicking "play" on the ipod because they didnt want to risk any errors on the video, so I'm expecting the video to be FLAWLESS. My entrance was akward, just silence and everyone looking around waiting for music to play......This is the momnet every Bride dreams of, walking down the isle to the perfect song, that is the hightlight of the bride, something she will always remember, my moment will be remebered as akward silence, nervous looks and dissapointment.... After the ceremony, we were rushed to take photos (our one on one )session wasnt long, maybe about 15 mins, then rushed to get the limo. We didnt even have time to greet and take pics with our family, we would have skipped the limo we we would have known we werent going to have time to greet our guests. And to top things off, multiple guests told us that there were beer bottles, cups and trash on the floor if the ceremony area, that was so embarrasing to hear. Of course we brought it up to the staff the day after the wedding and all we got was, we do the best we can...HORRIBLE response, if your in the business of coordinating one of the most important/special day in a persons' life you have to do more than "we do the best we can." You have to offer great customer service, staff that can multi-task and know how to improvise in any situation, and most importantly attention to detail, be able to keep the venu/area clean/spotless and presentable. I spoke to several venues in Las Vegas a few days after my wedding and each person told me how they prepare in advance to make sure the bride walks in to MUSIC, they time the song, the whole entrance including the wedding party/flower girl/ring bearer/parents and make sure the song is playing properly. They close off the area of the ceremony before and make sure it is free of trash. And most importantly they make sure the customers leave happy, and try to make up for/take responsibility for any unforseen errors.
  • Perfect wedding for us! The price, communication, and venue all came together. Our minister was fantastic. He gave us steady cues through the whole ceremony. His words were very well recited and things flowed very quickly. The only thing I would warn people about is that all your pictures in the package will have a tropicana copywrite printed on them. They don't tell you this and to avoid that it's about $700 more to purchase all pictures on flash drive along with the rights so you can avoid that on the pictures you spent however many hundreds of dollars on already. So purchase the cheapest package and plan on spending another $700 if you want to avoid that.
  • We had an amazing wedding at the Tropicana! We had been eyeing the chapel at the Trop for years because of the appealing gardens on the property. So, when we got engaged, it was one of the first places we looked. It was important to me to have great outdoor photos and the Tropicana was perfect for that. We wanted our special day to be about our commitment and love for one another void of the overpriced propaganda of the wedding industry. Weighing a few other locations in Las Vegas, we realized that the packaging and the team at the Tropicana was right in line with our goals to create a beautiful day at a realistic price. There was no hard selling and we were able to order the things we wanted a la carte to fit our needs. They were also very lenient with any changes we made. The girls over there were FABULOUS and could have stolen the show, however the fact that our day was stress-free in a beautiful environment walking down the aisle to the amazingly handsome love of my life far surpassed all my dreams of the perfect wedding leading to the most important aspect of the ceremony‚Ķ our happily ever after.
