Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 900+ reviews on the web
Try your hand at shooting a wide variety of firearms in the controlled, safe environment of The Gun Store. The shooting range has a huge collection of weapons, from World War II classics, to state-of-the-art designs for the battlefields of the future. With the help of professional instructors, have a go with a pistol, high-powered machine gun, or sniper rifle. Packages offer multiple options, such as shooting just one weapon or going through a whole themed series of firearms. Eye and ear protection is provided at no additional cost. For safety reasons, lead-free, non-ricocheting, frangible bullets are used. While children are allowed to use the range, make a telephone inquiry about the details in advance. • I've now visited the Gun Store 4 times. Twice 4 years ago and twice on this occasion. Our main return to Vegas was to go shooting again as we'd enjoyed it so much the first time round. There have been...  read more »
  • A good selection of stock, next door to a good range facility and very helpful staff. Good pricing too
  • A discovery of sensations firing these weapons of "war" (M16, MP5,...). From shuttle service pick up and bringing you back to the hotel, which is very convenient and avoids taking a taxi. Staff is friendly, gives you good explanations and then play, or rather to draw! You leave with your targets to show your achievements to your friends, but also a free t-shirt from the shop which offers a little more souvenir to bring back from Vegas! I do it again without hesitation but with a pack more expensive but with more weapons as it is fast when you take the first pack which allows you to test 3 weapons. Recommended for novices like us who want to see what it does!

  • (Updated 08/27/16) I think I may have been wrong about this place... Had a firearm transferred here from back home in Chicago and hit a snag when my Brady check was delayed then given an "unresolved" status. Never had that happen before and was frustrated that I was denied from taking possession of the firearm until I cleared up any misinformation with the Nevada office of public safety - firearms division. Ed helped me get a request form faxed out to them to get the process rolling a bit quicker and was very patient with me in regards to my questions and concerns. After 3 days the gun store is legally allowed to release the firearm - but given that the owner is retired law enforcement I can't blame them for wanting to make absolute sure the gun isn't going into the wrong hands... So, I had to wait about 8 days from start to finish to get things ironed out and take possession of my gun. At the end of the day it's not the gun store's fault, they are just doing their due diligence and making sure people who aren't supposed to have a firearm aren't slipping through the cracks in the system. Once things were all cleared up and I was given the go-ahead Ed called and was super friendly - and even seemed somewhat happy for me that we got it all cleared up! I will definitely do business with them again! And while the waiting sucked, I appreciate them trying to keep firearms out of the hands of those who are disqualified from having them.
  • Friendliest staff of all the ranges near the strip. They took time to chat while we shot, we never felt rushed. Great experience overall. The free t-shirt was a bonus!
  • Very bad experience horrible 2 days ago I came in the store, the very first time walking in the store ever and I lived in las Vegas for 5+ anyways I purchased a Iac Hawk 12ga with my standard ID I passed the background and all went well drove home with a awesome shotgun. On 7/10/16 I went back wanting to purchase a semi AR and was told I can't use my standard ID. For some ducking reason I need my drivers license and car registration or the newer IDs, after buying the shotgun 2 days prior... I never heard of this I took my business somewhere els Big 5 has good working weapons everyone. low rate this place is horrible very unsatified
