  • "It costs less, it sounds less" musical instrument once said ' poor ', but the requirements for a hotel are different and someone (like me) might appreciate a place where being a little off (about 13 km: Las Vegas is extensive) from fireworks downtown , you can also rest. Write it after experiencing the ' Freemont experience ' which means people in rivers and concerts all night under the window. Everything here is more quiet, room and bathroom, although very modern, not constitute almost a mini apartment and supervision is very present, both outside and inside the hotel. Last note: just a few minutes drive there are the famous Red Rocks: an opportunity for those who want to add a hike and didn't have much time.

  • Stayed here for one week. I never saw anyone get a Royal Flush on video poker. And I play a lot of video poker. Was here last year and same thing happened. The dinner buffet is terrible. Those people ...  more »
  • Love the variety of games here. They have $.50 roulette, 4 card Cleopatra Keno, and a ton of games to keep you entertained.  more »

  • I went here with my mom for her birthday, and our first stop was to get her a new player's card. The line was short and the lady helping us was so sweet and full of joy! It was very refreshing and welcoming! They just remodeled a few areas and added new carpets and I have to say, I like them! The place is clean and very well maintained. For a casino, it's not very loud and its never cramped or too busy for someone to help you. We received complimentary drinks while we played slots for a few hours. It was overall very enjoyable! I love the service we get when we come here!
  • I can't enough positive things about the employees at the Suncoast. The casino is very clean and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The food is good. There is a movie theater but I haven't been in years. I've been to some of the performances held there....magicians, ventriloquists, comedians....all excellent. I've never stayed in the hotel part because I live in Vegas but family friends have stayed there and have never said anything negative. But to me the thing that stands out most is the employees. Over several years many of them have become more like friends and a couple of them even like family. My mom had lung cancer. They knew us before we found out and they basically went through the journey with us, offering as much love and support to my mom as anyone can in such a situation. When she could no longer go out a couple of them took time to visit her. When she passed away they offered as much comfort and support to my dad and I as anyone can in such a situation. I realize this is a very personal situation and not everyone develops relationships like that with employees where they are customers at....especially with so many of the employees. I know it reflects partially on my family being very friendly but even so, it's not like that anywhere else we've gone to regularly over the years. To me it speaks volumes about the employees who work there and are friendly, caring, compassionate people....and it's reflected in the various positions they hold and they way they interact with the customers who come in. I know many locals go there regularly and I think that says a lot.
  • Underrated hotel. Rooms are very spacious and include mini fridge. I would put it in four star territory. Value is great especially considering the restaurants and other amenities that this hotel has. Had issue with check in because clerk was answering a call as she was checking me in. Should have done only one thing at a time and not called on me to the counter as I awkwardly waited for her to finish her call. Overall, a wonderful hotel that is worth beyond what the rates are.
  • I chose Suncoast because the room rate was very reasonable. I did not expect a beautiful room with an incredible view and full amenities. If the front desk staff and parking staff were nicer I'd gladly give them 5 stars.
  • I live out of state and stayed at the hotel because the job site I was working at was near by. The room was nice and there were some dining options. I cannot comment on the casino side as I am not really into that scene, but they seemed to have plenty of games. The only thing that could have been nicer is having a more comfortable bed. I will admit that I am kind if picky about my beds though. I like beds to be very soft and mine was pretty firm. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Where to stay in Las Vegas

Most Las Vegas hotels increase their room rates on the weekends, so if you have a flexible schedule, avoid Fridays and Saturdays and take advantage of package deals that include shows, meals, and gambling coupons. Remember also that if you stay at any one of the lively casino hotels, you may not be able to get a good night's sleep for the duration of your trip. If you come to Vegas to stay but not necessarily play, try one of the non-gaming hotels or explore the quieter areas surrounding the city.
